When my sister was dying of late stage cancer that has metastasized to the bone, her doc said she would be given morphine, but that it would speed up the spread of ca and death. It did happen very fast. > > Recent studies indicate that the use of morphine, chronic pain drug and > other opiate-based pain medications can cause side effects in > accelerates the growth and spread of the cancer cells. Guest guest
any suggestions on which brand of DLPA to buy and how much do I start with? How long does it take to feel results if it works? > > are there any decent alternative pain management drugs other than opiates? > > DLPA [DL-phenylalanine]…75% of the time it works as well as morphine....DLPA can be picked up at the many/most vitamin stores. Usual dose is about 3 grams per day until pain is gone….slows the catabolism of the body's endorphins. Once management is achieved modulate at about 500mg per day†( Gammill, 7/26/04) >
