Guest guest
I have been, without success, searching for medium to long term side effects data on radiotherapy treatments. Anyone have any verifiable data sources? Please, if you haven't confirmed, refrain from passing along suggestions; this is important to me and I must make the best of what time I have. I have a rare NHL called Waldenström macroglobulinemia, " a rare, chronic cancer that affects plasma cells and is classified as a low-grade, or indolent ... " to quote the U.S. National Cancer Institute. Also have Stage IV thyroid. Have passed on all medical treatments. I received radiotherapy treatment as a child over fifty years ago. The oncologists on my case team informed me that the thyroid was with a very high statistical likelihood a direct result of the radiotherapy treatment. Guest guest
Found several medical abstracts when I searched this myself. Try several variations of your search terms; you WILL find something useful. There ARE holistic measures that HAVE been studied and found to minimize toxicity of rads, by the way, in the event you do need to take that. If researching effects of your long-ago rads, you need retrospective studies. They're out there on the web.
Guest guest
Do you know of any specific 'retrospective studies'? It would be nice to not always have to re-wade through ever increasing piles of this. > > Found several medical abstracts when I searched this myself.
