Guest guest
<< I was wondering what people who chew gum are doing. I am an avid gum chewer and obviously the ingredients in a stick of gum whether it be sugar free or not is a NO NO. I have not yet found a replacement product for that. Any one have any suggestions or brands they are using that are okay. >> ive yet to find a gum that would be 100percent ok, so i use Thursday Plantation Tea Tree chewing sticks, they're toothpicks " impregnated " (what a word, but its what they say on the box) with essential oils of tea tree, cinnamon, and other yeast-unfriendly stuff. look for them in health food stores. sure not as cheap as gum, but actually beneficial to gnaw on. *Jami
Guest guest
<< Was also wondering why it is that I feel worse in the early part of the day (morning mid day) and begin to feel better as the day progresses?? I wake up tired but by night time I am wide awake and raring to go! >> whoops sorry i forgot to reply to this in my first email... there is a chance you could be hypoglycemic..according to some books i've read, many hypoglycemics are " night people " and have crummy mornings. candida and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) love to go hand in hand. though of course, i am ceritfied hypoglycemic and i am the opposite, i have good, alert mornings and get more fatigued as day goes on. *Jami
Guest guest
Coming from a long history of various addictions (most socially acceptable and legal but still very damaging) my only remaining addiction seems to be chewing gum. I've done a bit of studying on the various gums out there, and found that there are chewing gums which use nothing but xylitol as their sweetener. However, these are relatively expensive. The " Extra " brand of chewing gum uses sorbitol, mannitol, xylitol and the baddie aspartame, but is much cheaper than the pure xylitol gums. In reality, sorbitol and mannitol have much LOWER glycemic indices than xylitol -- they are better for you as sweeteners than xylitol, at least from a glycemic index point of view. The aspartame content of the chewing gum is of concern. However, my aspartame intake from the gum is the equivalent of 6 ounces of diet soda a day on the worst days, and more like 3 ounces of soda on average days. ( 1/4 to 1/2 can of soda a day). The gum tastes so SWEET it freaks me out -- I keep thinking " this can't be good for me " . However, I've done several muscle tests on the gum, and they all say the same thing -- the gum isn't a problem. Any feedback?
Guest guest
I'll chew on a little clove spice or just put a little between my cheek and gum. I understand that it is a good antifungal, too. > > Hello, <snip> I feel that the mouthwash and brushing just isn't cutting it. What should I do?
