Guest guest
That story is so incredibly sad in that as hard as she fought and wanted to live, she could think of no other avenue than conventional treatment, even if it was aggressive and painful and hopeless. At least, the article doesn't mention her trying any natural treatments. And I think its disturbing that her job was to convince cancer patients that they had no other choice but to give up and die, when many cancer patients can still reverse their disease if they walk away from these doctors. Guest guest
Wow, that was a heck of a story. I kept expecting Dr. Pardi to turn to alternatives but apparently she was convinced that if there was a solution it had to come from standard oncological research. I recall reading on the American Cancer Society website that milkshakes were a good nutritious snack. She seems to have embraced that notion. What is sad is that there is so little curiosity among the medical establishment. No chemo helped with her recurrence but instead of considering what else there might be out there (oops, there really can't be anything else, otherwise she & her oncologists would have known about it), she just reaches for more toxic drugs. And the tragedy is that this deplorable lack of curiosity not only costs some doctors their lives, but also thousands & thousands of others. > > An illustration of the rather limited and inadequate choices available > to those going the coventional route . . . > > NYT: Helping patients face death, she fought to live - MSNBC Articles > http://news.mobile.msn.com/en-us/articles.aspx?afid=1 & aid=36168682 >
