Guest guest
When alternatives speak of Vitamin D they mostly mean D-3 a form different from the standard supplement found in the One-A-Days you find on store shelves. There is a test to determine D-3 levels and when I had it done my levels were very low but only called, " a Deficiency " . There are some practitioners claiming one with cancer, if low, could easily take 5,000 I.U. without getting a toxic load and some claiming more. Interestingly, I was 'insufficient' while getting a goodly amount of sun exposure in South Florida but then again age is a factor in less absorption. So 'they' say. There are reasonably priced supplements and I buy my D-3 softgels from Healthy Origins sold at www.iHerb.com which are 2,400 I.U.s each. Your favorite store might carry a good brand. Maybe you should check on the test first. Joe C.
