Guest guest
All I am new to the board and new to TRT. I thank GOD that i found this Group. You Guys are GREAT. First, a little about me. I am a 41 year old male. About 5 years ago I gained about 35 to 40 lbs that I have not been able to shake and to make matter worse it continues to creep up about 5 to 6 lbs a year. I thought that I had the Ole Catch 22. I'm fat because I don't exercise and I don't exercise because I am to fat. My main symptoms were fatigue and depression. I got some Lexapro even before my test results came back and that helped with the depression a lot. Well, after talking to a friend of mine, I decided to get my testosterone at my last physical. Almost had to beg my Primary Physician to get in included into my lab work. He prescribed me high blood pressure meds and some more meds to lower my cholesterol. That really scared me. At my age, this is not good. Well, my test came back at 200 and then it was taken again when my LH was checked it came back at 155. I was prescribed Androgel Pump 10g per day. Androgel gives me LOTS of energy and I LOVE it and am able to workout now. My Dr. said that I will probably be on Androgel the rest of my life. What are the real side effects or do we really know? Will my balls shribble away like I have heard? I may want to have another kid. My Dr. suggested that I do that RIGHT AWAY if I am considering it. That scared me. What do we really know about TRT and what it will do to us 5 or 10 years from now. Thanks DBB
Guest guest
Hello and welcome to the group. You have found the most amazing place on the web to address your concerns and get answers. Many men on this board have been on TRT for years and years. I'm not one of those though So I'll let the more experienced answer your questions but in all honesty, if you keep yourself otherwise healthy, have a good and understanding doc, the right meds and support, TRT for life is less dangerous than no TRT. That's just what I've learned. Again, welcome. > > All > I am new to the board and new to TRT. I thank GOD that i found > this Group. You Guys are GREAT. First, a little about me.
