Guest guest
Hi Rick, It's true, you are " in range " . But at your age the average healthy 17 year old has testosterone much higher than you, probably around 650-800 level. Your level of 337 is for a MUCH older man. At the age of 48 my " T' had gone down to 325 (70 year old man level), and at 50 it dipped to 275 (100 year old level). I was not able to " get the job done " very well with my wife at that point. I have been injecting testosterone twice a week with a small needle in my thigh. More and more young guys have your problem. It's to your credit that you are seeking out solutions! Nothing to be ashamed of, it would be a shame if you didn't get it treated. You need to get your " E2 " , sometimes its called " estradial " also checked along with your testosterone. It's important to see where you are at. Ideally you should get your T up to around 750 and your E2 around 25. That should leave you feeling good and balanced out! Endo's are losers, they will tell you that you are normal! B.S. The best doctor is a anti-aging or another good choice is a D.O. If you call ahead ask them if they prescribe injectable T. That is the cheapest route to go. Let us know how you are doing! Guest guest
Hi Rick, What area are you in?? Someone here might have a GREAT choice for a doctor that can fix you up. Keep in mind too you can run your own labs, consider the link below. http://www.lef.org/Vitamins-Supplements/ItemLC322582/Male-Life-Extension-Panel-B\ lood-Test.html The test above would be a good base line. You had said before that you lift weights, etc. Have you ever injected a " cycle " of testosterone? If so, that could be your problem. If so, there is a doctor that specializes in " fixing " guys that have that problem. His name is Dr. Crisler and he is in Lansing, MI. Here is a link. http://www.allthingsmale.com/faq.html Hope you feel well, Neil rickwalia wrote: > > I called endo office they said its going to be 250$ for first initial > vist and i dont have insurance so i guess ill be seeing endo soon. Guest guest
Ask your endo for a reduced price consultation. Say to him you want to be sure he is interested and has the expertise in your total recovery. The best of the best do the best so a good doctor won't find those types of questions intimidating or dis respectful. They will be excited for good doctors want patients who will obey and strive for excellence.  Without insurance you MUST be well researched on Gyne and what you want to accomplish.  It sounds like you may need surgery to remove the deposits. Your local doctor is very wrong. My local doctor does everything. I only go to a urologist if we want a second opinion.  And we fired the endo's. Use this support group first and make sure you have all of the answers before spending the money. Also you can re post for places to get all tests yourself. I think you can get those tests done for about the same $250.00 which is a better use of your monies. You need those results to target a positive direction. I have gyne and have decided to let the embarrassing comments be the commenter's problem for now. I believe there is some wisdom in getting the body put together in stages.  So I am letting time and due diligence with TRT and ED perform there wonders. Don't focus on the process of healing but on those things that actually get results.  All fertilizer and no harvest is not good!!!! For example there is a women who has not consummated her marriage because her husband has severe ED. There is a product called Trimix or Trigel that would easily take care of that so they can enjoy each other.  Instead she is focusing on all the possibilities and has not taken care of her first priority for herself and her husband. **Having sexual intercourse** Pretty much guaranteed 6 six times for 133.00 or less of medicine.   Oh well - watch out for the mental and financial  traps of trying. And statements like if first you don't succeed try try again. Sounds good but if the goal is to fly with wings like a eagle there is a great obsticle called impossible. Mankind does not have wings. Keep a reasonable mode of caution as you proceed.  Ask, ask, ask, before you spend. Check the files and research section of the group. There is good insight here but we all are busy and have our expertise. Give the group some time to respond. He received his training from Dr. Greenblatt's who is now deceased and was a pioneer in hormone therapy for both men and women. Dr. Charlton R. , Laurel, MS His web site mentions he treats men and women with hormone pellets. http://www.c-gate.net/laurelmenopauseclinic/ You can check him out as well as Dr. Greenblatt on GOOGLE. Lets talk about cost. This is like you life is at stake so you must get a specialist even if you were to have to travel much farther. Hormone pellets go under the skin and will last 4 months before you need another visit. ernestnolan > > Hey i live in Mississippi, I moved from NYC i was initally born in India > but thanks a lot for all your advices i will defently go to a new doc > and post my estradoil and other hormone level. and will be on Update > thanks. >

Guest guest
Hi, I just turned 20. My T at 10 am has been 600, othrwise it has been just close to 500 round about 3pm in my other tests. Am I ok for my age? I have small testicles, I'm ok now, got out of a depression, by looking at the guy who is 17, I'm wondering whether I maybe in a similar but less worse scenario. x > > > > Hey my name is Rick Walia > > > > I have a very severe case of gyne > > > > Thing is im 6'3 223 lbs Age : 17 > > > > I had done my hormone test from my docter* and > > > > i believe everything was fine except my t level it was > > > > 337 it was still in normal range but at 17 337 is relatively low > > {or i thnk} > > > > I cant lift i started from handle bar now i lift 85 lbs sort of depress > > > > Any way to tell me how i can tell if i do have hypogonadism or should i > > > > go see an endo please show me some way thanks > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------ ------ > > > > No virus found in this incoming message. > > Checked by AVG. > > Version: 7.5.552 / Virus Database: 270.9.18/1849 - Release Date: 12/15/2008 9:01 AM > > >
Guest guest
Are you Manterno? Welcome back. Total testosterone varies significantly between earlier & later readings for younger men. A better testing time would be 7 or 8 AM- as close as possible to the time when you wake up. Later in the day will generally show lower total T. 600 ng/dL total T is somewhat below average for a 20 year old but still within the reference range for adults (300-1000 ng/dL). Since this result was from 10 AM, this reading probably shows less T than you have first thing in the morning. Depression touches upon so many other factors (including our sensitivity to pain), yet it can be isolated to some extent. What other concerns do you have, Manterno? ~Xian > > > > > > Hey my name is Rick Walia > > > > > > I have a very severe case of gyne > > > > > > Thing is im 6'3 223 lbs Age : 17 > > > > > > I had done my hormone test from my docter* and > > > > > > i believe everything was fine except my t level it was > > > > > > 337 it was still in normal range but at 17 337 is relatively low > > > {or i thnk} > > > > > > I cant lift i started from handle bar now i lift 85 lbs sort of > depress > > > > > > Any way to tell me how i can tell if i do have hypogonadism or > should i > > > > > > go see an endo please show me some way thanks > > > > > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------ > ------ > > > > > > No virus found in this incoming message. > > > Checked by AVG. > > > Version: 7.5.552 / Virus Database: 270.9.18/1849 - Release Date: > 12/15/2008 9:01 AM > > > > > >
Guest guest
Called dr.vincet told me fax or email reports i emailed them today and attach my gyne pics. Also I have 2 question 1) is pellets a good TRT or others are like injection, and gels? are they expensive? 2) I go to a private school my last year hopefully they do drug test steroids and such would me going on TRT affect those test? Guest guest
Well i called back today they said i should to my local doc to do the injection t which i know he wont do. And he also said hes not worry about TSH until its over 5.0. =\ I still havent check my estradoil or my LH or anyother important factor. ah
Guest guest
Hi Rick, Personally I use shots. Sometimes the creams don't work and are sometimes messy, and the pellets are more expensive and from what I read hurt. The total cost of injections run about $10 (that includes the testosterone, needles, alcohol pads, and /Arimidex) /a month if insurance covers the vial of testosterone. The vial of testosterone lasts almost 5 months and with insurance the vial runs me about $40, without insurance at Costco it runs $120. My doctor also has a pharmacy where I can get it without insurance for $80. I use a small needle into the side of my thigh. Some of the guys use a 22ga needle, but that REALLY hurt. The smaller 28ga is absolutely no problem. I inject on Tuesdays and Fridays. I had never injected anything before, and I was able to get used to it. Testosterone makes me feel so much better I actually look forward to injections, it means I get my energy back, I can have sex with my wife, etc, etc, so it's a positive experience for me. You will also have to take something called /Arimidex, something like half a tab twice a week, to control excessive estrogen. The injected testosterone turns into estrogen, and //Arimidex helps with this testosterone/estrogen balance. The guys here can help you buy needles and alcohol swab pads by the large box online for cheap, the //Arimidex too. No worry about " steroids " . You are not doing steroids, you are under a doctors care using prescription replacement testosterone, you are rebuilding your natural levels, so this is a different thing. Guys and body builders that shoot testosterone and take it to unnatural levels (like over 1000) are officially doing " steroids " , you have a prescription because you have a real medical problem. You are going to take your level to 700-800, that's where a healthy guy your age chasing chicks should be! :-) Replacement testosterone is important for you Rick. It's important because it will help you avoid heart disease in the future, and make you feel better about yourself, less emotional, have a healthy sex life, etc. Keep in touch, Neil / rickwalia wrote: > > Called dr.vincet told me fax or email reports i emailed them today and > attach my gyne pics. Guest guest
Rick, It's unfortunate to hear that you're getting the run around. At this point, some thoughts to consider: Your docs have probably informed you that gynecomastia during puberty is often self-correcting. This may account for general reluctance in handling this issue, as they might fear tampering with your endocrine system now could cause permanent dependence on synthetic hormones. Not a pleasant thought concerning resolution of your problem, but it's worth considering. Then again, if your testes aren't working the way they should be at this age, it's better to address the problem sooner than later. On this topic, do you think you've completed puberty? In regard to gynecomastia, estradiol ( & perhaps prolactin) may be responsible. Reducing estradiol can sometimes significantly elevate testosterone. Please post your results for estradiol as soon as you get them. Remind your doctors about the urgency of your lab results. Are you insured via your parents/guardians? Talk to them about the possibility of seeing Dr. Crisler in MI. You will have to pay up front but insurance may reimburse you for the expenses. The next time you see a doc, mention that you've heard good reports about Dr. Crisler helping men in your situation & see if you can get a referral to him. He's a Doctor of Osteopathy. Have a Happy New Year. ~Xian > > Well I called endocrinologst today they said they need my doc > refferal which my local doc who did the tests wont do since > everything- (Hes a family practioner) -was in range and im only 17 so > didnt want to argue with him. Guest guest
Thanks a lot for your response. Thing is I agree with you. And i think its very important for me to check my estradoil also t3, t4, lh , and fsh as they can play a key role as well. But as i said my doc said ur range and he thinks he cant refer me to endo unless its out of range i dont want to argue with him. Now should i go to another docter and jus show my results i was thinking of going to the the University of Mississippi Medical center and see a docter for cold since as i have a little sinus and while there prolly show him my hormone report. Would that be a good idea? or should i see another sort of specailist? I also tried calling endo office they all said they NEED an docter refferal. Confused

Mine provides my T and HCG prescriptions after I provided the documentation I downloaded from allthingsmale.com web site on replacement and the HCG update. My insurance changed and I'll need to change D.O. so I got a list of all the D.O.s near me, took it to the local compounding pharmacy, and got a recommendations on which ones used that pharmacy regularly. Doctors that use compounding pharmacies are usually much more knowledgeable in my opinion and much more likely to work with you. -- Steve - dudescholar4@... " --Stopford > I agree with Steve. Seeing a DO specifically for endocrine concerns/gynecomastia is better than going to another type of doctor for a cold & then mentioning endocrine concerns. Also, your plan might backfire on you. Docs know that illness & stress can lower testosterone (though low testosterone may increase frequency of illnesses), so most will quickly speculate that as the cause of reduced testosterone- *if they find it worth addressing*- regardless of how long you have dealt with it. Most doctors prefer to focus on one problem at a time. They want to know what's bothering you the most. " Screen " the doctors you're considering before visiting. Ask their offices if they treat men for low testosterone & gynecomastia, as well as what methods they use to treat it & if they consider treatment for someone your age. You have probably already done so, but make sure to mention your brother's gynecomastia- this might get you more tests & help you pinpoint the cause of it. Have a great new year. ~Xian
