It all depends on the root cause of your hypogonadism, I believe. The usual recommended dose is 500 IU x 3 a week. I was on more than that before and was fine, but titrated down to 500 after I'd lost some weight. It now seems about right for me, although everyone is different. As for how long it takes to get used to the new regime, you need to give it a few weeks for the body to readjust. Give it another week and if you're not feeling any better, ask to see an endocrinologist who *does* know about TRT. However, 250 every three days seems like too little to me. I'm on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday regime of 500IU a time and, as I said, it seems to be working. If you don't feel any better soon, maybe suggest to your doctor that you up your dose. If not, then make sure you get to see a proper endo. If you have any more queries, feel free to email me. I know of an excellent endo that you may wish to consult, but I'd rather not post his details here. best, Colin

I changed from TRT to HCG after it was discovered by the group that i would be better off doing so due to my results. Hi, I'd guess most here are doing test AND hcg but let's start at the top. take your amp of sustanon and draw it up in 2 syringes of 1/2cc each... that's your weekly dose. (you weren't even taking a baseline testosterone dosage... and 2/3 of a full dose every 3 weeks is crazy anyway... yea decoanate IS slower than cypionate but there's less test there too) on day 5 and 6 (day 7 being shot day) do the 250iu of hcg you may not have e2 issues with sustanon, with it's blend of fast, medium, and slow esters there is less aromatization reported... but if you're not getting at least periodic morning wood your e2 is probably high and arimidex or similar is indicated... get a sensitive e2 test done. > Anyway, after 3 weeks on HCG i feel worse although my testicles have increased in size. My extreme tiredness has reappeared and i have no drive or energy. My body feels tired and weak and my low moods have reared their ugly head. which indicates that hcg alone isn't keeping your test levels UP... though you're getting SOME response. > Is this what happens when you move from TRT to HCG? if so does anyone have any experience of this and timescales to return to normal? > > My Doctors are not experienced enough (their words) and the Endocrinologist i saw specialises in diabetes and i felt he didnt help me much. that's pretty common :-} the 1/2cc + 250iu hcg on day 5 and 6 plus arimidex to control e2 is about a standard regimen... sustanon isn't THAT different... I've done both straight cypionate and ethanate and the blends like sustanon and while the blends bring you UP a LITTLE faster and last a LITTLE longer they're still once a week shots if you want to do it right. Guest guest
Hi Colin. Thanks for the response. I believe i am Secondary hypo as my results showed that and my reasons are for steroid abuse in my early twenties (i was an athlete). My endo did not support HCG and i was later told that it could not be prescribed on the NHS unless you were infertile? Some of the reponses i have had on here tell me to continue on my hcg dose but add a small amount of TRT for example 1-2.5g of testogel per day or .7cc of cypionate per week. I live in Worcestershire and the two main endos here specialise in diabetes so i would be grateful for a name of a good one if you have one thats not too far or that may of one nearer me. I must admit i am very confused about it all, its not straight forward. Guest guest
When I went on HCG my E2 went up by 25%. Normally my E2 tracks consistently with my total T. If your getting a high E2 conversion, this might be an issue. Guest guest
HI Lee, I reckon you may be overdosing on HCG. Can you get a blood test and let us know what the numbers are. If you were feeling better and now symptoms are reappearing, then that is the more likely answer. Not impossible, but not very likely. Lee started feeling poorly after he came off Sustanon and went on to HCG. 250IU every three days hardly seems like an overdose. I came off Sustanon and went on to HCG, and 250IU x 3 a week was far too little. But I guess everyone is different. Lee should see what his levels are and then it will become clear.
