Guest guest
Because the ones who know the most about T generally aren't MDs (with a few noteworthy exceptions), and most MDs refuse to listen. And it starts at the top, with testosterone's classification as a controlled substance. The misinformation that led to testosterone being viewed as " addictive " and " harmful " is compounded by ignorant politicians and sports lobbyists advocating medical policy rather than a sober evaluation of the data. These measures have limited the number, scope, and type of studies about T (despite the fact that there are numerous ones), restricting clinical trials almost exclusively to men with below reference range T. Further, they often pass sub-optimal results (a bump into the low or middle of the " normal " reference range, rather than the upper 1/3) as satisfactory, causing some doctors to interpret 800 or 900 ng/dL as almost excessive. Meanwhile, women can access estrogen and progesterone at any time in their life without demonstrating below reference range levels of their hormones. Sorry that you've experienced the aftermath of politics, Wilfred. The ignorance & misinformation circulated by doctors about T is a direct result of the political demonization of anabolic steroids. ~Xian > > Sh*t, that is what the Urologist my doc sent me to did also. Why don't you try stopping that Androgen...since it's not working and see if you get a bounce back he said. Now I'm getting mad. How can there be so much bad information out there about T? >
Guest guest
Well, I think it would behoove us to become advocates. 1) Educate MEN 2) Educate DOCS 3) Spread modern accurate information on the web. This forum is great, but its like the church choir. Convinced, involved, and singing the songs to a captive believing audience. We need evangelists! Can I get an Amen? -Wilfred > > > > Sh*t, that is what the Urologist my doc sent me to did also.
