Guest guest
I think I just answered this at Dr. 's site here is a cut and past. ======================================================================= Yes and it's good if your adrenals are not bad off you would give them a rest yet they can still make cortisol. But if your adreanls are bad off your tests are showing your not making enough cortisol. Taking this low dose can shut down what your adrenals were doing and you left with only 10mgs. It is said on avg. your body make what is = to 20 to 30 mgs a day not under stress. So if you don't feel better by now you need more. I did ok at 20mgs doing 10 first thing in the morning and 5 at lunch and dinner. But much better at 25mgs then even better at 30. This clue to this is if you need to stress dose a lot I know you don't know what this is but I was stress dosing a lot on 20 and 25mgs a day at 30 I don't. Follow this when you go up on HC. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com.../how-to-treat/ And read this FAQ's and all the links in it this will open your eyes. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info/faq/ Co-Moderator Phil > From: john_dragoo <john_dragoo@...> > Subject: Hydrocortisone Dosage > > Date: Monday, June 23, 2008, 5:07 PM > I started taking hydrocortisone (Cortef) for borderline > adrenal failure > about 3 weeks ago.
