Guest guest
Wayne, The story on the no-descended testicle is that it is probably dead. I had an operation at 16 to have it put down (benefits were asthetics and less prone to cancer). Imagine, limping to class in high school with your ball stiched to your leg for a week. Everybody knew, and laughed a bit, including me. It is half if not less than normal size testicles. Another tid-bit of info is that I have 3 kids (very lucky and proud) and have had a vasectomy 5 years ago, good testicle only of course. The good testicle did swell quite a bit at the time. I have wondered lately whether the vasectomy had anything to do with it. I believe now just by the tone I have now that I have been low on T for a while (over the five year mark). I have not experienced this level of ``thought clarity` for a long time. I am very very happy that I know what it is. Question for group: My mother has experienced similar medical issues. Is there an equivalent syndrom for the female, say with estrogen???? Louis
Guest guest
Hi Louis, First thing when some men get a vasectomy they could have a very hard to find infection that can be why you have low T. You need to have this looked at the infection is dam hard to find and takes a special med to cure. This needs to be looked at I remember a guy with low T had this infection for many yrs and never knew it. Just felt bad. And yes you mother can have believe it or not bad hormones or thyroid with low T. Phil louislarocque@... wrote: Wayne, The story on the no-descended testicle is that it is probably dead. Guest guest
Question for group: My mother has experienced similar medical issues. Is there an equivalent syndrom for the female, say with estrogen????-- Hi Louis, is your mom experiencing these problems because of menopause? If so, yes we women experience these same medical issues, and all at once when the hormone factory shuts down in mid-life. Replacement should include estrogen AND low dose androgens (testosterone) and low dose progesterone. And non-oral (topical) formulations of all 3 hormones are more effective and safer. Estrogen relieves some female menopausal symptoms, but testosterone is far superior in restoring bone density, and singularly effective in restoring mental clarity, energy, and libido; and banishing migraine headaches. Men and women need all 3 of these sex hormones (E, P & T) to stay healthy, the only difference being one of proportion.
Guest guest
Rsummers, No, I believe that my mother is past the menopause stage, she is 66. That said this all started about 8 to 10 years ago which I believe is a little after she experienced menopause. Her symptoms are much like my own: unable to do alot of walking or other simple physical activity without suffering pain in her back and neck. Her pain is different from mine in the way that mine is in any joint and starts with inflammation of the tendons. I will be sure to tell her your advice. I have told her that she should see and Endocrinologist. louis

It is difficult to find any doctor willing to prescribe testosterone, as many guys on here can testify, because of the DEA and the 'war on drugs.' Good luck. I hope that both you and she will benefit from TRT.

It discusses the hormone probplems of older women. > > In her case that would be a gynecologist.
