Guest guest
Well, I clicked on the link and came to a page that told me I wasn't a moderator. And there is listing for a poll on the left margin. So, either I'm missing something or you left something out! > > Group, > > Yet again, our posts were being uploaded to a blog for all to read. A quick membership search revealed four email addresses that fed directly to a blog. > > The moderators do not have the ability to change the settings of the group which would help to cut down on this type of invasion. > > We wish to know what you think - so a poll has been created. We have the ability to create a new group, which would allow us to change the membership requirements so people need to ask permission to join. This is the best way we have to make sure that the people joining the group are real people. > > If you feel up to it, please post in the poll - Yes, you are interested in moving to a new, better protected group. Or No, you aren't interested in moving. > > If we do create a new group, all that would be required of you is to join the new group. We would stop posting in this group. > > The poll is easy to find by going to the website and clicking on the poll option located on the left of the screen. I think the link is: > > /surveys?id=2956462 > > Thanks. >
Guest guest
I get this when I click the link You are not a moderator of the group . Guest guest
Okay, so I'm not able to cut and paste the link. But, you can go to the poll section of the group website and click on the poll option. /
Guest guest
We must be missing the same thing LOL. I vote that I would like a private group if that will stop this Cheri > > > > Group, > > > > Yet again, our posts were being uploaded to a blog for all to read. Guest guest
The problems I see with two groups is this. 1. Most will gravitate to one group or the other leaving one pretty empty. 2. Double posts which will get old real quick especially with the amount of posting that goes on here. 3. Newbies will get ignored if most people are on one group and they join the wrong one. As much as I don't like this happening I really do not see a good work around if we can't disable or change this one. Guest guest
On the Internet there is only an 'illusion' of privacy as there is only an 'illusion' of safety in security. Nothing, especially the Internet, is safe from someone willing to make the effort to breach the 'safety'. This does not mean, of course, that one shouldn't take precautions but think before acting and ask whether or not what you are trying to accomplish is worth it. Then ask yourself, exactly what do you post on FACEBOOK OR UTUBE? Joe C. From: szukipoo@... Sent: Thursday, March 18, 2010 10:57 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Invasion of Privacy Anything to protect privacy. Guest guest
Personally anything I post online I expect the whole world to see. I have no issues with someone using what I say, not that they would. But on the otherhand if others have issues I would go along with the majority and support whatever everyone decides. When it comes to the internet no such thing as private, especially when it comes to Government being able to see it. To be honest at first I didnt realize this group was private, and posted something in another cancer group. After I found that out I removed it, and havent done it since. Let the majority decide, I will go with the flow! This group is to important to me. All the best, Mike
Guest guest
I agree with you Mike! This group is important to me as well, yet I don't really care either way ..if it's private or not as long as I'm a part of it. Do as the majority decides but.....smiling..don't forget me! :-) Lory " Don't expect a great day; create one. " Unknown
