It's hard to say if your having night sweats try every 2 days if this is to much

you will lose all wood if this happens then stop the arimidex until wood comes

back then go back on it but this time try every 4 days. It's hard to tell with

out labs I do get my labs every 8 weeks.

Hi ,

I may be totally missing the mark here, but I mention the following just

to cover all the bases. I too had night sweats and didn't sleep well. It

eventually got worse and I noted that sometimes I had dark circles under

my eyes. I mentioned this to my doctor and long story short she sent me

in for a sleep study. Bingo! I have moderate sleep apnea, over three

hours I had symptoms called hypoapneas (66 times) and sleep disordered

breathing (very hard on your heart). I was not getting any REM sleep at

all. Zero minutes, even though I thought I was sleeping through the

night. The sweats are caused by your body fighting against being cut

short of oxygen and your brain keeps waking you up a little to breath

better. In the sleep lab the second half of the night they put a mask on

me and I slept wonderfully. The tech said on his readout that I almost

immediately went into deep restful REM sleep and stayed there with

perfect blood oxygen readings the rest of the night. No more sweats.

I now use a CPAP machine, a mask attached to a little box by my bedside.

Funny thing, ever since I have been using the thing I have total night

wood, every night. I didn't before ever, even with T replacement. Seems

my " unit " wasn't getting enough oxygen! lol

Just a thought.

I wish my results with CPAP were as remarkable as yours. I have been

on it for over two years. Still don't sleep well, still have to fight

with DIM or Arimidex to get the night time wood, haven't lost any

weight, sweat at night. I guess like all else, your mileage may vary

with CPAP.

I would agree. And I have been reading the sleep apnea message boards as

well. The machines that are favored there are ones that have data cards

that record something called the AHI index, this can tell if there are

still sleep disturbances that need attending to or if adjustments are

needed. There are also auto cpap machines, that when they sense

something amiss (mask leaks, breakthrough snoring, apneas, etc) they

adjust the pressure to suit the condition. Here is an example of such a

machine, the card, the software, etc.

Dave,

I should say too that I would not be satisfied with those results and

would not take no for an answer. I have proudly butted heads with more

doctors than I can count. If I still get nowhere I just go to someone

else, my current doctor I got from Phil here and finally I am getting

results. My personal health history has been slowly unfolding....like

peeling an onion. When I get rid of one problem it seems to unmask

another, and slowly I am feeling better as my problems are getting treated.

When I look back to the days when I just let that HMO dictate to me and

hand me a bunch of pills, no wonder I was just numb and shut down.

Please let us know how things work out...

Oh yes my wife was real bad and hated the mach. She would rip it off her face in

less then an hour. She lost 40 lbs and it's gone I gained some weight and was

snoring very bad lost only 35 lbs it's gone. I feel weight has a lot to do with

it.

jimdetroit <jmosrite@...> wrote: I have a question. How much

I found myself with low T/high E2 resulting from a pituitary tumor.

Have others noted a correlation?

Thanks,
