Guest guest
I started T replacement about 1 1/2 year ago. My doctor is aggressive and we like to keep my T number up around 900-1000. When I started I weighed 248 lbs of pure blubber. After getting my mojo back, I have been hitting the gym 6 days a week with a trainer. I know that I have put on at least 10-15 lbs of muscle. I am down to 220 lbs and 22% body fat. At first I was doing about 1.75 ml of 200 ml/mg Test Cyprionate once per week to get to my levels. After a while my total T numbers inched up to 1400 range. We lowered the dosage to 1.5 ml and the numbers went up to over 1600. My doctor has again lowered my doseage to 1.0 ml. We will be doing testing in 5 weeks to see how this works out. My doctor explained to me that Testosterone is a fat soluable hormone and that as I get leaner I need to lower my doseage. I also take .03 IU HCG 3 times per week.and Ldex 2 times per week. Has anyone experienced this where you have to change your dosage downward as you get leaner? Esteban
Guest guest
Wow that is nuts 325 mgs a week this is like doing Steroids for weight lifting. I can't say why your levels went up unless you were not doing labs the same time and day. I do my labs the day of my next shot but before it. And I stop HCG about 5 days before doing labs or it will Spike up your levels. When you say your doing .03 IU's of HCG I use Novarel when mixed it is 10 mls or 10,000 IU's I do a .4 ml shot or 400 IU's please tell me what kind of HCG your using and how much you have in the vile when mixed. The more you work out the more of the Testosterone your taking can get burned up faster. I am 65 just getting over Heart by pass sugary and work out 3x's a week and fast walk the days I am not working out. I need a lot of T I burn it up as fast as I take it but I do about what is = to 200 mgs a week. I do a shot 80 mgs every 3 days and I do 400 IU's of HCG the 2 days in between my T shots. Doing your doing a lower dose at a time this helps keep Estradiol E2 levels down if your not testing this do so if your high it takes away any good the testosterone is doing. And as levels get to high you can get some ED and lose your libido. I take .25mgs or 1/4 of a one mg. pill every 2 to 3 days of Arimidex to keep my E2 levels in check. A good level is about 20 pg/ml. At one time I topped out at 325 lbs do to low levels of Testosterone and the Fatigue and sore joints and muscles I had from the low levels. Today I am 240 lbs age is 65 and I feel great it took me 23 yrs to figure out why I am low on testosterone you can read my story at this link. http://forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=5 & t=9239 I don't feel getting lean helps one to get by on less Testosterone but it helps keep E2 levels down. My Total T labs doing the above are at 890 top of the range is 1100. My E2 levels are between 17 to 20 pg/ml and I could have sex everyday if my wife was up to it. Dam thing is women as they age think they are to old for sex. When you do your labs make sure you test the morning of your next shot but before it and don't do HCG 5 days before this it will Spike up your labs for both E2 and Testosterone. I do my shots at 5am I am retired and still wake up at this time so I do my shots and then go back to bed when I get up at 8am I feel great. I use a small 27g 1ml x 1/2 " lg. needle to do both T and HCG shots into my thigh. The oil comes out of the vile slow so I just pull the plunger all the way down and hold it takes about a min or two to get my dose. Doing this works great and no pain been doing this over 5 yrs. now. Guest guest
I've never been on T, but the dose of Arimidex I need to stay around 20 has definitely gone down as I've lost fat and built muscle. Well, it stands to reason - less fat tissue means less aromatase produced, so less aromatase inhibitor needed. That's one of the reasons you need to keep testing regularly to make sure you don't take E2 too low. But the E2 effect wouldn't be relevant for you because your T levels are determined by the T and HCG. It will be interesting to see if others have had your experience, or have heard your doctor's explanation elsewhere. > > I started T replacement about 1 1/2 year ago. Guest guest
As ones weight loss goes down the amount of aromatase will as well so one will have to adjust dosages accordingly. Simple by adding 50 mgs of zinc picolate before bed may be all that may be needed in order to control zinc. If your e2 is high one may also want to look into proper thyroid labs as when thyroid is low our ability to get rid of e2 can be greatly reduced as well. In many patients correcting thyroid and manipulating TRT has corrected their e2. Melatonin also has a huge impact on zinc metabolism as well as thyroid. Correcting thyroid at optimal level has shown to increase zinc metabolism which can offset excessive e2 levels they may be experiencing. > > > > I started T replacement about 1 1/2 year ago. Guest guest
HANS, I have seen you mention Zinc Picolate a few times. My doctor has me on Zinc Citrate. Does Picolate absorb better? ________________________________ From: hardasnails1973 <hardasnails1973@...> Sent: Wednesday, September 23, 2009 10:53:26 AM Subject: Re: How does weight loss affect doseage? Guest guest
I have used all forms and only form that works for me and all other men on here is zinc picolate. Zinc citrate is about 20% absorbed to elemental. 160 = about 30-40 mgs of elemental. > > > > > > I started T replacement about 1 1/2 year ago.
