Guest guest
Hello , You do seem to have symptoms that are synonymous with gallbladder malfunction. Trying to get your liver and gallbladder to function properly may alleviate your problem. There are gentle ways to begin to clean your liver and gallbladder. -Recipes that do not use Epsom Salts. You may also wish to do mild cleansing to begin with. This would involve using herbs (often found in liver support supplements), teas and juices. Look in the links pages cleanses folder on the group site for ideas. ~Suzanne <karen-white@r...> wrote: I have had acute attacks on a couple of > occasions but never really did anything about it... > > Now it seems I am having a kind of weird sensation below my rib >cage on my right side....... > I am looking for something simple I can do to help the problem. Guest guest
Hi Rosemary, I have a couple of questions. You said " Stir 1 tablespoon of Epsom Salts into 3 glasses of water. " , is that one glass between 6-8 and then another glass after 8 pm and then the last glass the nest morning, or all at once? Why sip? It is very hard to ingest, better to get it over with, no? You said don't put grapefruit juice and oil in a blender, Why not? Guest guest
Dear , Below is a gentle flush which I have done 6 times now with great results. I was scared too as I have chronic Lyme disease and severe chemical and food sensitivities and did not want to make myself any sicker. The flush has been one of the best things I have done. Both my husband and I have definately benefitted from the flush. The Epsom salts is just a muscle relaxer and laxative. It really helps the flush. I did not have any problems with it. Wishing you health, Rosemary. LIVER FLUSH. 1. Ideally you need to be on a good low animal fat diet for at least 8 weeks prior to the flush. Animal products contain cholesterol which makes up over 90% of the gall stones. Healthy fats include nuts, (nuts may be too oily if you are in a lot of pain) seeds, extra virgin olive oil, avocado. Check out www.hacres.com for an excellent diet. 2. You should consult your doctor and perhaps have an ultrasound to see if you have any calcified gall-stones. There is a very small risk that a stone could get stuck in the bile duct during a flush, requiring surgery. This is extremely rare and should not occur if good preparation has been done. Usually the flush is painless. 3. We followed the instructions from Dr. Cabot's book " The Healthy Liver and Bowel Book. " PREPARATION FOR THE FLUSH. During the few days prior to the flush, you mostly consume raw fruits and vegetables and drink 2 litres (4 pints) of water daily. This will lessen the chance of a bad reaction. We used the Alternative flush; a) Drink 4 cups (1 Litre) per day of organic (prefarably, but not essential), unsweetened apple juice (we used apples from market) for 5 days. The malic acid in the apples actually softens the stones. During those days you mainly eat raw fruits and vegetables and no dairy products, red meat or chicken. On the sixth day, skip dinner and at 6pm. Stir 1 tablespoon of Epsom Salts into 3 glasses of water. If you suffer from low blood sugar, you can dissolve the Epsom Salts in apple juice. It is also more palatable. Drink this mixture over the next 2 hours. Repeat this at 8pm. Epsom Salts can be purchased from the supermarket. c) At 10pm. make a cocktail of 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil and 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon or grapefruit juice. Red grapefruits are more palatable. Shake this well and drink immediately. Do not put in blender. Go to bed immediately and lie on your right side. d) Next morning you will pass green stones in your stools varying from the size of grains of sand to as large as a thumb nail. This can be done in a plastic container and then put into a seive. Rinse under tap in laundry tub to find stones. You may take them to your doctor to have them analysed. Many people have to do several flushes to get out lots of stones and feel better. To answer the more specific questions there is a lot of information at www.curezone.com This site has amazing photos, testimonies, support groups and different flushes. Many of these recipes have been used for hundreds of years to feel better and avoid surgery. Happy flushing! ----- Original Message ----- From: scaredtoflush gallstones Sent: Friday, April 18, 2003 10:00 PM Subject: Scared To Flush Hello... Well, it is becoming more and more apparant to me that I am having liver/gallbladder problems. I have had acute attacks on a couple of occasions but never really did anything about it... Now it seems I am having a kind of weird sensation below my rib cage on my right side. Sometimes a sort of numbness, sometimes a little pain....and it is not subsiding... I have read all through the website and am feeling a little overwhelmed as to what to do with all of the different recipes and information. I am looking for something simple I can do to help the problem. I was a little concerned about cleansing the bowels before doing this with the Epsom Salts as well. Is this something that is mandetory before doing a flush?? Also, I have read some of the painful stories about experimenting with the different flushes....Needless to say I am definately scared. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?? I will need to get a handle on this soon! Please help!
Guest guest
If you don't like the idea of sipping epsoms in water, PLEASE try mixing with FRESH squeezed grapefruit juice, and chill in the fridge before drinking...it really makes all the difference in the taste. Guest guest
Hi, You mix 1 tablespoon of E.S. into 3 cups of water. You drink this mixture between 6 & 8pm. Then do exactly the same this with another 1 tablespoon E.S. and 3 cups of water and drink between 8 & 10pm. You don't have to sip it, but it is not very nice to drink. A bit like drinking soapy water. I tend to swallow the first lot down fairly quickly. The second lot is a bit harder. I made the mistake of putting the grapefruit and olive oil in the blender. This makes it frothy and slimey. It's very hard to get down and made me feel very nauseous. Just stir it together with a spoon before each swig. Warm regards, Rosemary.
