Guest guest
meaning...when u take a T injection does the T enter the blood stream thru and onto the androgen recpeptors?...or does it go thru the liver and then onto the Androgen receptors? i rec'd an injection from my nurses office but not sure if was even considered IM...it was with a 1/2 " needle right above my ass cheek. didn't even feel it so im wondering if it even entered my muscle. didn't feel the positives and only the feeling of elevated E2 a few days later (bloating and zero erections night or day). was wondering how the T got to the androgen receptors..directly from muscle tissues into the blood stream...and if it aromises into E2 does that just wipe out the T and instead estrogen goes to the androgen receptors? any insight appreciated. thanks! Guest guest
Estradiol and other estrogens cannot bind to androgen receptors. They can only bind to their own estrogen receptors. With injected T the T enters the bloodstream through the intramuscular vascular system and then goes into circulation. Some of it is reducted to DHT (also binds to androgen receptors) by 5AR and some gets changed to estradiol by aromatase and some gets bound up by shbg and albumin but the T that remains binds to androgen receptors where those receptors appear in the male body (which are a lot of places). Was this your first IM of T? > > meaning...when u take a T injection does the T enter the blood stream > thru and onto the androgen recpeptors?...or does it go thru the liver > and then onto the Androgen receptors? > > i rec'd an injection from my nurses office but not sure if was even > considered IM...it was with a 1/2 " needle right above my ass cheek. > didn't even feel it so im wondering if it even entered my muscle. > didn't feel the positives and only the feeling of elevated E2 a few > days later (bloating and zero erections night or day). > > was wondering how the T got to the androgen receptors..directly from > muscle tissues into the blood stream...and if it aromises into E2 does > that just wipe out the T and instead estrogen goes to the androgen > receptors? > > any insight appreciated. > thanks! >

Guest guest
yes first IM shot. i think it wasn't deep enough for IM. i don't have blood work (too early) to see if it entered my blood stream or not. Will do another injection of 100mg via IM in thigh using 1 1/2 " needle. thx for the explanation of how it's distributed. > > > > meaning...when u take a T injection does the T enter the blood stream > > thru and onto the androgen recpeptors?...or does it go thru the liver > > and then onto the Androgen receptors? > > > > i rec'd an injection from my nurses office but not sure if was even > > considered IM...it was with a 1/2 " needle right above my ass cheek. > > didn't even feel it so im wondering if it even entered my muscle. > > didn't feel the positives and only the feeling of elevated E2 a few > > days later (bloating and zero erections night or day). > > > > was wondering how the T got to the androgen receptors..directly from > > muscle tissues into the blood stream...and if it aromises into E2 does > > that just wipe out the T and instead estrogen goes to the androgen > > receptors? > > > > any insight appreciated. > > thanks! > > >
