Guest guest
Hi Guys, I finally found 2 doctors that would test most of the things I wanted to, but not all unfortunately. The 2 series of tests mentioned below were done 1 week apart. I also included the ranges that they consider normal but I see these ranges to be quite different on other sites. #1) Test Results (tested at 5:30pm) Testosterone (T) 14.6 nmol/L (range 10 - 30) Free T 383 pmol/L (range 200 - 800) (Method of Vermeulen) Bioavailable T 9.8 nmol/L (range 5 - 20) (Method of Vermeulen) SHBG 26 nmol/L (range 10 - 70) LH 4.6 IU/L (range <10) FSH 2.2 IU/L (range <10) Albumin 47 g/L (range 35 - 50) DHEA Sulphate (not tested at this time) Prolactin 3.0 ug/L (range <15) Estradiol (not tested at this time) Glucose Fasting (not tested at this time) TSH 3.0 mU/L (range 0.38 - 5.5) (some suggest the range is (0.38 to 2.5) Lipemia slight (serum appeared slightly fatty) #2) Test Results (tested at 8:30pm a week later – fasted for 10 hours) Testosterone (T) 11.8 nmol/L (range 10 - 30) Free T 301 pmol/L (range 200 - 800) (Method of Vermeulen) Bioavailable T 7.5 nmol/L (range 5 - 20) (Method of Vermeulen) SHBG 28 nmol/L (range 10 - 70) LH 4.8 IU/L (range <10) FSH 2.0 IU/L (range <10) Albumin 46 g/L (range 35 - 50) DHEA Sulphate 1.9 umol/L (range 5.2 - 14.2) (lower than normal range) Prolactin 7.0 ug/L (range <15) Estradiol 122 ug/L (<15) Glucose Fasting 5.0 mmol/L (range 3.3 - 6) TSH (not tested at this time) Lipemia slight (serum appeared slightly fatty – even after fasting) Results Analysis - My testosterone is low - the normal range mentioned on this site for men 20 to 40 is 520 – 1387 pmol/L and mine is 301 pmol/L. - My DHEA Sulphate is low - Visually my blood serum appeared slightly fatty (slight Lipemia) and I don't eat a lot of fats at all. I read that this can happen if you ate a fatty meal before the test and they suggest fasting to clear it up, but for the second test I fasted for 10 hours and still my blood serum appeared slightly fatty which is very unusual. I am not sure how to read the other test results, so guys - please help if you can. Thanks very much!
