Lung cancer stage 4

I have a friend with stage 4 lung cancer, he was given 6 to 9 months to live. He

hasn't started any treatment yet. Any advice for him.

There is no such thing as " he was given 6-9 months to live " No one has an

expiration stamp on their head. What the doctors mean is that in their opinion

and based on past experiences if he does nothing or follows what they suggest

that is the usual time framework that people last. But that is ridiculous

because there are so many alternatives out there that treat and help cancer

patients and most people can go on for many years if they fortify their body and

their immune system. My husband was diagnosed with stage IV Lung Cancer at the

end of August and this is what he is doing with great success.

1) Change you diet completely. Cut out all sugar -- cancer cells thrive on

sugar

2) Stop eating anything that is processed or with preservatives. Eat only fresh

organic vegetables. Eat very little meat and only organic grass fed meat. Only

Wild Salmon if you eat fish.

3) My husband never smoked but if your friend smokes he must stop immediately

because nothing will help him if he continues to smoke

4) Now start researching thoroughly all the different treatments that are

available. I will give you several great websites to start with and then you

can go from there.

There are many people whose doctors told them they had 6 months to live who went

on to live 16. Doctors don't kinow everything. You have to educate yourself.

 Hi ,

 

        The alternative medicine I  found useful for my mother who has

stage 4 ovarian and breast cancer is the mushrooms with beta- glucans like

agaricus, ganoderma and you may  want to look  for maitake and shitake

mushrooms which boost the immune system, research about beta glucans, they might

help plus other alternatives like omega 3 fatty acids and lysine which not only

help cachexia or patient getting thinner but also are anti oxidant  that help

the immune system as well. My mother is on  conventional medicine as well -

letrozole( hormone treatment that lowers estrogen that feeds the cancer cells).

My mom is not on chemo but she is on her 3rd year after diagnosis of stage 4

cancer. The trend now is immunotherapy, research about that as well, it is true

that chemotherapy may be the cause of death of cancer patients due to

complications from what I observe with other patients. There was  a patient who

was cured of stage 4 skin cancer

because of skin cancer as in  she is on remmission, I forgot the website but

I'll  write again for info, although immunotherapy is expesive but I see as a

potential answer for cancer. I am a former medical student before by the way.
