Guest guest
High and welcome you don't need TRT your Total T levels are dam good but if you keep using propecia you can end up with a loss of your sex life and low Testosterone. I can tell by your SHBG levels 59 your Estradiol is to high this happens to us older men do get this checked at Quest labs it's #4021 with range of 13 to 54 you need your levels down to about 20 pg/ml. Do you still get night time and morning wood if not then this can be do to high levels of Estradiol and propecia can do this up your levels of Estradiol. Here and at other forums we here very bad story's about men on propecia getting low Testosterone and losing there sex life. There is even a forum at this link go there and read about this. Also join and post see what they tell you. http://www.propeciasideeffects.com/ Here is a link about high levels of Estradiol and low Testosterone in older men your Total T levels are good but your SHBG is high this binds up Free Testosteone. So if your Estradiol is to high and you get it down your SHBG can go down and your Free T levels will go back up and you will get your night time and morning wood back. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/full/89/3/1174 http://www.medibolics.com/ArimidexBoostsTestosterone.htm Co-Moderator Phil > From: brennholiday <brennholiday@...> > Subject: Total T 759...free T 8.7 > > Date: Wednesday, June 24, 2009, 8:40 PM > Greetings Gentlemen. > > First post here. > > I just got my my labs back and total T was 759 and free T > was 8.7. > > I am a 53 year old male. > > My shbg was 59. > > I take armour thyroid and propecia to prevent hair loss. > > I was just wondering if there is a way to raise my free T > with nettle root or other natural means, or if I am a good > candidate for HRT. > > I lift weights and have a 20 year old wife so I want to > make sure my levels are as good as possible. > > Thanks in advance for any help. > > > > ------------------------------------ > >
Guest guest
Just in case Phil didn't totally convince you to give up the Propecia: Propecia (finasteride)is used by male-to-female transexuals to help them feminize. It is an anti-androgen. > >> > I take armour thyroid and propecia to prevent hair loss.

It was 23 in 2005. These levels seem to be in to lower end of the range. My recent tsh was .0035 and free t3 was 3.2 and free 4 was 1.08. Are there any good substitutes for propecia? Guest guest
Still you need to check your Estradiol again it's best at 20 pg/ml most men doing Propecia end up with high levels of Estradiol. Your Thyroid looks good to me. Your Estradiol needs to be near the bottom end of the range best for most men is 20 pg/ml.
