Guest guest
I agree with Vince (tho I'm not sure about the gallon/day, but if you can drink it, it might give you near immediate relief) Organic apple cider vinegar is great at dissolving stones. It is the number one supplement we use with all goats, llamas, and fowl - placed in their waterers. They love it and it prevents urinary calculi, which is stones...it is the easiest and the #1 method in all my holistic animal health books for reducing the size of stones, therey allowing them to pass. I think this may have been written with tongue in cheek. In any event, the connection between kidney stones and gallbladder stones is not so clear, and the techniques for treating one are not applicable to the other. >Happy Howling, Very cute! ---------- --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Wally, Yes, I do beleive that my suggestion is " deserving of propagation " , I trust my source as she has had experience with this and just because I have not doesnt mean that I cant help someone else out with a suggestion. I think with gallstones, it wouldnt hurt to try everything as an alternative to surgery, as nothing is " proven " . Everyone has there opinion about alternative treatments and I thought this group was for sharing experience and suggestions???? I didnt have luck with any of these alternatives and I lost my gallbladder, but that doesnt mean that noone else will. Forgive me if I am just trying to help others keep their galbladders and their health. >From: Wally Gordon <wally.gordon@...> >Reply-gallstones >gallstones >Subject: Re: Re: What do you do if stone is too big to pass >and wont dissolve? >Date: Tue, 06 May 2003 14:41:16 +0300 > >At 07:49 PM 05-05-03 -0500, Schurdevin stated: > > > >I have heard that taking beet capsules can help soften stones. Guest guest
Any possible natural remedy or solution that a person has to offer is " deserving of propagation here " . We only recently went through a debate on this list, involving people demanding " scientific " evidence for natural health cures. I for one am grateful for anything anyone has to offer that might help my condition. I am in much better shape gallbladder-wise, then I was a year ago, due to utilizing supplement suggestions and other information sent to this list. I think we are all adults, and as such, are capable of deciding which treatments we wish to pursue. If one doesn't work for us (which is not to say it might not work for someone else), we can try another. Please, , or anyone else wishing to offer suggestions on treatments. Do not Let Mr. Gordon or any other skeptic intimidate you into silence. We need your help. Forgive me >if I am just trying to help others keep their galbladders and their health. I certainly agree that helpful suggestions are always welcome. An example of a helpful suggestion would be, " the use of such-and-such a technique has proved successful in the case of my brother, my daughters, 400 subjects in the local hospital, 4,000 rabbits. " A much less helpful suggestion would be, " I have no information that such-and-such technique is effective, but the grocer told me that he thinks it should help. " I hope that this difference is clear to all now, and apologize if I was unclear previously. ---------- --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Hi : How much Apple Cider Vinegar should one take to dissolve stones? Len
Guest guest
> Hi : > How much Apple Cider Vinegar should one take to dissolve stones? > Len Hi Len ~ I went searching through some of my books, as someone had mentioned kidney stones are different from gallstones and we use organic (ACV) apple cider vinegar regularly in our livestock waterers, for prevention of urinary calculii or kidney stones. Here is some of the info I found: From " Prescription for Nutritional Healing, page 390, If you have an attack (gallbladder), drink 1 tbsp. of apple cider in a glass of apple juice. This should relieve the pain quickly. If the pain does not subside, go to the emergency room to rule out other disorders such as gastroesophogeal reflux disease (GERD) or heart problems. " From the book, " The Miracles of Apple Cider Vinegar Health System, page 21, ACV can help dissolve some types of kidney stones. Drink 8-10 glasses of pure liquids - especially organic cranberry juice, as this acidifies urine, inhibiting bacterial growth. Add 1/3 tsp. ACV to each glass. " On page 22 of this same book, it lists a 2 day gallbladder flush using ACV, apple juice, and olive oil.. Most of our work is animal health related and I have few books with regards to human health and most of those are homeopathic or herbal. I can say, that organic apple cider vinegar is full of vitamins and a few minerals and if taken 1 tsp. to 1 tbsp. in a glass of water, 3x/day, you will notice an increase in energy, amongst possibly other things, as ACV is good for arthritis, gout, various skin conditions (internally and externally taken), overweight, underweight, respiratory conditions, diarrhea, constipation, digestion, etc. Reference, " The Complete Cider Vinegar " for more info, along with the above mentioned ACV book. We use distilled vinegar (only for external uses, never taken internally) to clean the deposits that accumulate on the sink faucet strainers, as well as drip system emitters. Just soaking in distilled water removes these deposits, so ACV does dissolve things, tho I cannot say for certain it dissolves gallstones. ACV also alkalizes the body, even tho it is acidic. If you are having gallstone trouble, I would suggest looking into the book, " The Liver Cleansing Diet " , by Dr. Cabot. After 20 years working as a medical doctor, she realized many people's problems stem from toxic livers. She states, in a period of 2 years, using the liver cleansing diet on 1540 of her patients, the success rate measured by parameters of weight loss and general overall well-being has been 100% in patients who maintained the cleansing diet and program. Maybe someone else knows of 'definitive' info, but I would suggest just giving it a try, I think a quart of organic ACV at the health food store is $3. I, personally, even like the sourish taste it lends to my glass of water. Guest guest
: Thank you for all that good info on ACV, I've started using Bragg's ACV. Len
