I've heard the apples in the store can be months old and taste nothing like one fresh picked off the tree. just curious, I live in polluted Houston texas and wouldn't know a fresh apple if it landed on my head. claire

I read once that tomatoe juice was a wake up call for the liver as well. THanks for sharing.....I hope to taste a fresh picked apple one day. claire
Guest guest
claire, The flavor and quality of fresh organic apples ripened on the tree is indiscribably better than store bought. This goes for any food that you can grow yourself in good organic soil vs store bought. I had some beets out of my organic garden already this year (a powerful liver nurisher) and they were as sweet as candy. My carrots are also sweet like candy to me and I like them raw to get the good fiber as well as the nutrients. This isn't too far off- topic if it is at all. The fresher and more organic the food is that we eat, the more nutrients we get, the better it tastes, and the better off all our body parts are Vince > In a message dated 5/5/2003 7:24:30 PM Central Daylight Time, > new_man85@h... writes: > > > (I come from Washington State and grew up with two apple trees in my > > yard) > > Off topic. > > is it true that a fresh apple off your tree tastes nothing like the apple I > buy in the store?
