Also try

http://www.gpzservices.com/items/products/syringe-only/list.htm

JRSmedical.com sells BD 1 mL Tuberculin syringes

(http://www.jrsmedical.com/SYRINGES_ONLY/BND309602/product.aspx ), in

case you prefer syringes that make small volumes easier to measure.

I buy my needles from Wal-Mart without a script, why order them and pay shipping

charges, surely you have a Wal-Mart store near you? I use 1 ml 27G1/2 inch

needles

and they work fine for thy's. Unless you have a lot of fat on your thy you might

want

to go to an inch needle. Little slow on the draw but who is in a hurry?

I remember when I tried shots, I didn't like them and they hurt when I did them

myself. There was a shame and stigma when I went with a script for the needles

at a pharmacy. Ppl think you are using them for elicit activities. Dump the

needles and go for the gel. If your insurance cannot pay for it find an online

dealer.

Depends on the size of the needle. Many doctors prescribe unnecessarily

large needles. I use 27 G for testosterone (larger for drawing in the

T) and 30 G for HCG. Since I'm going to be getting needles without a

script, I'll make some adjustments if I can find over the counter ones

that are close in size. 30 G 1/2 inch looks doable in the insulin sizes.

> There was a shame and stigma when I went with a script for the needles at a

pharmacy.

Who said? How so? I never had that problem and insist on exactly what

I wanted. I've never had anyone ask me why I needed or wanted something

except the pharmacist in order the get the right product.

> Ppl think you are using them for elicit activities.

I don't care what people think and I doubt that they think that at all.

> Dump the needles and go for the gel.

The gel is a daily affair. Needles are once a week. Gels apply some

limit to sexual activity while needles do not. Gels are much more

easily converted to estradiol while injections are a lot less so.

> If your insurance cannot pay for it find an online dealer.

Not hardly possible. Have you looked for patches/gels on line? I've

never seen it. I've seen injectables but usually one has to do a

western union wire and jump through hoops. Injectables run a few

dollars a month. Patches/gels can run as high as $200/month.

For those of us who don't care what people think and couldn't give a

rat's A@ & anyway, injection are the way to go. I spent 30 minutes with

a pharmacist the other day going over exactly what brand of HCG I was

looking for and why, what supplies I would need it he could only get a

single 10,000 IU injection application of HCG, and was completely

oblivious to anyone who was listening. I want what I want and I'm

going to get it.

I'm the kind of guy that will go into a store and pick up feminine

supplies for my wife and stroll back to the counter and pay for them

like I was buying bread or milk. What people think is not my problem,

it's their problem - they need to grow up.

I am also the type of guy, not a shame to seek out woman related products

publicly. In NYC, we have kind of a drug problem where yes, needles are seen in

a stigma. Of course after the pharmacists better understands why I needed the

needles it became  easier.

I had the Visiting Nurses, show me how to give myself a shot, but it still was

painful, when I did it in my rear. Painful in the needle entering through the

skin and then in the muscle. I tried different needles then, but it also became

a problem in taking too much T out of the dose.

Sure its easy to do weekly or biweekly and cheap. But every persons body reacts

differently. If you have issues with needles, its not for you. If your insurance

can only cover it, my advice having someone local do it for you. Thats a hassle

as well.

I was referring to finding needles online and not the gel.

If you live in a smaller community, where your neighbors are not going to

stigmatize you  if they  see you are  buying needles, great. If you have to go

to a larger  Pharma, where  your  business is that of others,  then  you will be

seen more or less,  as a deviant. I'm talking about big retail Pharmacy's.

Buying needles online is an easier process now a days. Buying the  doses is as

well.

If you find it troubling to do it in the store, search online.

Not everyone takes HCG as well. I am primary, therefore, it will do me no good.

I feel OK, my new Endo is aware of my high Estrogen of the past and future, and

is willing after the blood results to find a valid solution other than DIM, to

treat it.

Once again, look for different routes to simply buy your needles. You can try a

different Pharma call them up, or try online. You can buy needles without a

script online. But any doctor should be able to give you a valid script for

needles.

Try not to bite so hard next time Steve.....Not that serious.

I've always done injections on the top of my thigh. No problems with

that. Trying to give my self a shot in the rear is way too much trouble

and most like would require longer needles.

The last time I bought needles was like 4 years ago. I filled all my

scripts since the doctor had refills on them so I got several years

worth. However, when I went to pick up my scripts, they were in " bags "

and unavailable for any person to view unless I took them out of the bag

to check. I've never carried boxes of syringes or needles out of the

store that weren't in bags - it's easer to carry that way anyway.

Still, I'm not concerned with anyone seeing me buy needles. But for

those people who are concerned, the internet is a wonderful place to

order, even if getting their scripts filled by regularly pharmacies who

mail those items.

I think the jury is still out on the HCG doing or not doing good. My

theory is that there are LH receptors elsewhere in the body and that LH

is suppressed by testosterone replacement leaving those receptors

unstimulated, ever. Taking HCG mimics LH and stimulates those

receptors, wherever they might be. Science hasn't discovered all these

kinds of receptors sites so until they do, which I don't think likely in

a very long time, I'm going to be taking HCG on some kind of regular

basis. I'm not going to argue with my doctor over if I'm primary or

secondary. My point to him was that this reversed and/or stopped

testicular shrinkage which satisfied him as a rational reason to request

the HCG. I also suppled him with publications on allthingsmail.com

about this. I see a D.O., not an endo, who would most likely argue with

me over my requirements.

My problem is that I overwhelm my doctor on prescriptions. I'm on many

meds and have cardio related meds prescribed by my cardio and all other

meds prescribed by my general doctor. I could go to several doctors and

get each of them to write several scrips each, but I like to stick with

one doctor. I have a tendency to buy a lot of stuff internationally and

my current doctor also understands that. He wrote 5 scripts on my last

visit but I forgot about the needles issue. It wasn't pressing since I

have several months still on hand of what I'm using and almost 200

syringe/needle combinations I can use but they are slightly different

from what I've been using (fixed needles).

> Try not to bite so hard next time Steve.....Not that serious.

I tend to be more " frank " and to the point online. I'm a member of more

that 50 lists and work them quickly. Being fully tactful takes too much

time but I try to find a balance.

Did you explain to the pharmacy the point of switching needles, using

the larger one to draw T & the smaller one to inject? Perhaps they

were out of stock, or perhaps they simply didn't understand the point.

Regarding getting needles, I live in NJ and you have to have a script to get

needles of any kind so I have my doctor prescribe me a box of 100 20guage

and box 100 25guage taking them once a week this last me almost two years at

a time. You can send your script mail order if you don't want to go to the

pharmacy, I send mine to Medco and it comes shipped UPS in a brown box. No

stigma no embarrassment not that it bothers me to go to a pharmacy and get

them I just don't like the inconvenience of having to go back each month.

What would you do if you where a diabetic? Many people take their meds.. by

injection you should never feel embarrassed/uncomfortable taking care of

your health!

I think many of us have had to overcome the " stigma " of taking a steroid

such as testosterone. I shriek every time I read an article regarding

someone who is abusing this medication and how the media demonizes it. They

never follow up on the legitimate use and how it improves so many peoples

lives. For about the first year I was on this medication My wife was scared

(because of all of this disinformation) that I was going to become some

roid-head and hurt people, since then she only speeks about how it saved me

and our mariage and how I'm a much (calmer) person now.

My point is we all have to rise above all of this in order to become healthy

again. I found this forum to be the best place for me during the first

couple of years so I didn't feel alone in all of this and was able to push

away the stigmas and fight for my health. God knows after having swithed out

five doctors in the first two years inorder to find somone who would WORK

WITH ME, I and I'm sure many hear can testify witnesed many doctors who make

you feel uncomfortable about our conditions.

I have been at this for little over three years now and have tried patches

and jells but found injection to be the better choice for me. Everyone is

different so to say one method is the best would not be a true statement.

Hi,

I don't think that anybody who's tried weekly injections would go back

to gels unless they have a fear of needles... not that it really

hurts... even a bad shot ain't that bad... but I understand some

people just really get freaked out at the idea of a shot... even a

doctor/nurse giving them a shot... but if you can just sit and do it

steady the affects are so much better you'd never go back.
