Guest guest
UU, It's unfortunate that you had such a bad experience. I wonder if you would have preferred shots had your doc prescribed/mentioned using smaller needles, shown you different locations for injection, & if the pharmacy hadn't made it such as hassle. One close friend of mine is an insulin dependent diabetic, & he gets needles all the time for his insulin injections. He usually purchases them in person but sometimes does so online- the same way " illicit users " purchase their stuff. The appearance of " secrecy " & the same method as illicit users doesn't matter- surviving with diabetes is costly. It is not a disease that a person can afford to be ashamed about. Hypogonadism is not " fatal " but is severely life-dampening. Increasing your quality of life is nothing to be ashamed about. Androgel has its pros/cons but is still more expensive than shots. I see no reason to allow the shame of getting needles (in whatever manner is affordable) to limit oneself to a method of TRT that may not work as well. It is the shame of impotence & hypogonadism that often keeps us from getting treatment, so why let shame return to threaten us with its toothless jaws? ~Xian > > > > From: jahost1942 <jahostmchsi (DOT) com> > > Subject: Can you no longer buy needles without a script? > > > > Date: Thursday, January 29, 2009, 7:22 PM > > > > I was able to purchase needles from Vitality Medical without a script > > about 1 1/2 years ago.
