Guest guest
considering you f3t are at top and your ft4 are at the bottom I would suspect that you are pooling t3 in the blood not getting it to the tissue. This commonly occurs with low cortisol levels. High rt3 will make you feel low hypothyroid and feel like crap. If rt3 are high this can alter your sex hormones as well which can be affecting your LH production. > > I am wondering what high Reverse T3 feels like to see if it is worth testing for me. > Free T4 1.08 (0.89-1.76 ng/dL) > Free T3 0.4(0.2 - 0.5 ng/dL) > Symptoms: always tired, low lh fsh(supposedly rt3 can cause that) > hungry, very cold despite optimum thyroid levels, weakness, and depression. > Could high RT3 cause any of this? >
Guest guest
RT3 will not lower your LH and FSH this is the message sent to your Testis to make testosterone. I feel your diet shut your Pituitary down I see this a lot in younger men going on some crazy diet to lower there % of body fat and they end up with low testosterone and bad adrenals these young men need to see a dam good Dr. like Dr. . If he can't get you started back up know one can. But then again you can just try waiting it out and pray it comes back up on it's own. I have seen this happen but the men stopped eating a poor diet and they had to treat there low cortisol levels and not do anything to stress there body like working out. Guest guest
My morning cortisol came back 17.6 ug/dL (8.0-19 ug/dL) Taken recently about a week ago. My adrenals don't seem fucked up. ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Sat, October 17, 2009 6:00:09 PM Subject: Re: Symptoms of high RT3 RT3 will not lower your LH and FSH this is the message sent to your Testis to make testosterone. Guest guest
There's got to be more of a problem, like I said I'm always cold and tired, which is more of a thyroid thing, but I'm wondering about RT3 because it would block the t3 from the rest of the body ________________________________ From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> Sent: Sat, October 17, 2009 6:00:09 PM Subject: Re: Symptoms of high RT3 RT3 will not lower your LH and FSH this is the message sent to your Testis to make testosterone. Guest guest
I have high RT3 levels they say you should have a ratio of over 20 of RT3 to T3 mine is 9 and I feel fine. My RT3 is high because I just had Heart bypass surgery and the stress of this drove it up. But I don't feel any diff. then I did when it was good. One thing you need to understand people with a Thyroid Problem most have an Adrenal problem. You need Corisol to carry the Thyroid hormone out of the blood into the cells. So going on Thyroid meds will build up into the blood if your adrenals are bad and this med will make you sick. Most people treating there thyroid Dr.'s don't check there Adrenals read this link. http://featherstone.bravehost.com/thyroid/peatfieldadrenal.html Co-Moderator Phil > > > From: Matt <mattobrien71> > > Subject: Symptoms of high RT3 > > > > Date: Saturday, October 17, 2009, 6:08 PM > > I am wondering what high Reverse T3 > > feels like to see if it is worth testing for me. > > Free T4 1.08 (0.89-1.76 ng/dL) > > Free T3 0.4(0.2 - 0.5 ng/dL) > > Symptoms: always tired, low lh fsh(supposedly rt3 can > cause > > that) > > hungry, very cold despite optimum thyroid levels, > weakness, > > and depression. > > Could high RT3 cause any of this? > > > > > > > > ------------ --------- --------- ------ > > > >
Guest guest
High reverse rt3 can be caused by several things such as starvation, surgery, liver issues, low gh levels, adrenal imbalances, imporoper cortisol/dhea ratio, nutritional deficency, body has been locked in stress mode and never disengaged, emotional stress. > > > > > From: Matt <mattobrien71> > > > Subject: Symptoms of high RT3 > > > > > > Date: Saturday, October 17, 2009, 6:08 PM > > > I am wondering what high Reverse T3 > > > feels like to see if it is worth testing for me. > > > Free T4 1.08 (0.89-1.76 ng/dL) > > > Free T3 0.4(0.2 - 0.5 ng/dL) > > > Symptoms: always tired, low lh fsh(supposedly rt3 can > > cause > > > that) > > > hungry, very cold despite optimum thyroid levels, > > weakness, > > > and depression. > > > Could high RT3 cause any of this? > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------ --------- --------- ------ > > > > > >
Guest guest
Well hearing you say that makes it obvious to me that I need to have RT3 drawn in blood work. Stress did this, there has to be a cure. ________________________________ From: hardasnails1973 <hardasnails1973@...> Sent: Sun, October 18, 2009 7:57:36 AM Subject: Re: Symptoms of high RT3 High reverse rt3 can be caused by several things such as starvation, surgery, liver issues, low gh levels, adrenal imbalances, imporoper cortisol/dhea ratio, nutritional deficency, body has been locked in stress mode and never disengaged, emotional stress.

Guest guest
I have seen several people with normal am cortisol levels in the AM and have been given false readings because they were stressed before going in or the sight of blood or a needle freaks people out. I have seen this in many people when cortisol salvia is compared to serums do not match up,but there symptoms do. You may have good levels in the morning but as day goes on they get depleted very fast. Just have a trained physician specialising in ADrenal/thyroid and testostosterone to rule this out. When people present with a case history a good dr will go back to case and point of when this occured as I have had many young men that have abused their bodies from over training and under eating that shifted there hormones. I commend you on trying to understand on what is going on, but you are only 16 years old. -- > > > ________________________________ > From: philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> > > Sent: Sat, October 17, 2009 6:00:09 PM > Subject: Re: Symptoms of high RT3 > > > RT3 will not lower your LH and FSH this is the message sent to your Testis to make testosterone. Guest guest
There is actually is study done on navy seals that where in starvation mood for 8 weeks they had testosterone and rt3 tested. RT3 were elevated testosterone was dropped by 60%. When they starting Reintroducing caloires then rt3 went back to normal. Some people unfortunately do not go back to normal. When it comes to abusing the body I know it better then any one in all aspects. I would also get your zinc levels check via serum stopping all supplements for one week prior blood draw. If you have low zinc and high rt3 you have your answer to why this is occuring . rt3 and low T go hand in hand because t is needed to increase zinc up take into the body. One can examine your nutritional aspect i'm sure one could find nutritoinal imbalance. When the proper nutrients are in balance then the testosteorne, cortisol switch may kicked on. How this happens well other dr's have stole my research in the past.. > > > > > > > From: Matt <mattobrien71> > > > > Subject: Symptoms of high RT3 > > > > > > > > Date: Saturday, October 17, 2009, 6:08 PM > > > > I am wondering what high Reverse T3 > > > > feels like to see if it is worth testing for me. > > > > Free T4 1.08 (0.89-1.76 ng/dL) > > > > Free T3 0.4(0.2 - 0.5 ng/dL) > > > > Symptoms: always tired, low lh fsh(supposedly rt3 can > > > cause > > > > that) > > > > hungry, very cold despite optimum thyroid levels, > > > weakness, > > > > and depression. > > > > Could high RT3 cause any of this? > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > ------------ --------- --------- ------ > > > > > > > >
