Guest guest
Hi and Welcome, First thing we need to know was this blood test done first thing in the morning say at about 8am levels are the highest at this time then fall by bed time. If this test was in the morning they your levels are in the normal range but for a man 85 to 100 yrs old. Dr.'s have a bad habit of reading labs and saying your OK you in the normal range. Your not normal you very low some good Dr. that treat a lot of men will take the High end of your labs range and Div. it by 2.7 to find the true bottom of the range for healthy men. To many men in the labs sample all ready have low levels of Testosterone so there range is not true. Take Quest labs the top of there range is 1100 so if your below 400 you have a problem. Having Cancer you need to be sure your free of it if so then you can go on TRT and be safe. You would need to figure out what kind you can afford shots are the lowest price if you have a drug care plain that pays for drugs then try Androgel or Testis you put this on your upper arms and shoulders every morning after a shower. Doing this is about the same as what your body does you high in the morning going lower by bed time. You nee to get your levels up into the top 1/3 of your labs range for a young man and to keep your Estradiol down to about 20 pg/ml it's this that holds down the good Testosterone does and it will kill your libido and give you ED with some sore and hard nipples, feeling hot and sweating a lot and feelings of panic. Here are some good lings to help you learn about this they come from the links and files section here at the home page on the left do go there and read and learn the more you know the better you can tell your Dr. is doing for you. Most are not up on this and only know what the drug reps tell them. http://www.aace.com/pub/pdf/guidelines/hypogonadism.pdf This link is to Dr. Gordens site read it and watch the Videos. http://www.thehiddendisease.com/ This tells you the hole story. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html Co-Moderator Phil > From: virtuosa150 <virtuosa150@...> > Subject: Testicular Cancer / Low T syptoms > > Date: Sunday, July 26, 2009, 9:13 AM > > Hi all, > > > > I'm new to this forum. Guest guest
Phil, Thanks for your reply. I've read the AACE and so much of it in the first few pages I can relate to. My nipples while not puffy, feel kind of thick but not at all sensitive. As for the cellulite, is this a problem if a guy has low T? What do you think my chances are on getting the doctor to recognize I may be having a problem with my hormones. Last year I went to my former primary doc and another urologist. I was passed off by the primary doc as being depressed. I told him my remaining testicle was a lot smaller than it used to be. He said it seemed like a normal testicle to him. The urologist looked at my total testosterone # (I forget what it was last year) and said it was fine. He gave me viagra. I still have all that he gave me. My libido is zero. I'm finding it more and more difficult to go on like this. Reading some of your posts, you seem very knowledgeable. Thaks for your help. -- In , philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: > > > Hi and Welcome, > > First thing we need to know was this blood test done first thing in the morning say at about 8am levels are the highest at this time then fall by bed time. Guest guest
Phil, Your story is a horrendous one. So many years wasted because of inept doctors. Yesterday I was reading a paper written by Siegel Watkins. It is all about TRT over the last 50 yrs. Do you know which paper I am refering To? I'm a bit too young to know about the rise of antidepressents in the 50's & 60's. The paper makes it all clear concerning the misuse of the drugs. I'm sorry to hear that you had a setback with your heart problem. How have you been feeling since you wrote in June? Any better? I would not be able to afford the services of either one of the doctors you recommended. I could never afford the cost of the meds unless they were covered by my insurance. The urologist I will be seeing is recommended by the wife of a man that had teticular cancer. He is on HRT. So this doctor knows something about HRT. If I don't get anywhere with him, I saw an internist of this groups list of docs. that is somewhat close to where I live. He takes my insurance as well. Life is one step in front of the other. Sometimes those steps are more difficult. I saw a little girl, may 4 the other day. She had to walk with a walker because her legs we deformed. I felt so bad for that little girl and I thought my troubles are not that bad. Take care. - In , philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: > > > WTF is with Dr.'s you tell them your not feeling right they do labs your problem is hitting them in the face and they tell you your Depressed. Testosterone is converted to E2 via an enzyme - aromotase. High E2 reduces T production considerably. But the low E2 is also a killer of libido - in fact far worse. If your T is too low to get much conversion your E2 can actually be low and that would compound your libido issues. You definitely need an E2 test - in my nonmedical opinion.
