Joe,

Sorry to hear your symptoms; the new Armour formulation has been a problem for

many, but you are on a small dose; how are you taking it?

How are you dosing the HC? Not getting enough during the day can cause a problem

at night with insomnia--

*Balance* is key with supplements :)

Joe, fast fingers this am forgot to get to this; ALA may interfere with thyroid

hormone conversion...

....but isn't ALA a de-toxer (I'm not up on this but it's listed as a supportive

supp for those who take iodine) so maybe your symptoms are from that ?

One needs to look at the other possible causes as if some one could like as

mention it could be interacting with something else which may be mimicing the

symptoms. One may also have allergy to pork and may not tolerate armour thyroid

so they may need to switch to a t-4 and t-3 combo. One also could be straining

the adrenals which may be causing your body's immune system to be weaken.

What time are you taking your thyroid and how much TV, cellphone computer time

before bed time is one having. Do you ever give your body a chance to wind down?

There are alot more deeper issues at hand that need to be explored in order to

know what the cause is before pin pointing it to the thyroid

Wow do tell me how you started on the HC I do 30 mgs but I started with 2.5 mgs

in the morning and went up 2.5 mgs every 5 days until I was doing 10 mgs at 5am,

5 mgs at 9am, 10 mgs at 1pm and 5 mgs at dinner 6pm. If you went on HC all at

once and added in your Armour you had a thyroid dump what this is is your

Thyroid hormones need Cortisol or HC to carry the Thyroid hormone out of your

blood into your cells when you don't have enough Cortisol levels the Thyroid

hormones build up in your blood and taking a large dose of HC it will dump all

the hormones into your cells and make you feel like this. Cut back on the

Armour keep doing the HC but start taking your Temps after your up 3 hrs and

then every 3 hrs 3x's a day add them up and div. by 3 this is your avg. If your

temp is going up or down more then 2ths you need to be on it longer before you

add in armour. Go to my forum at this link and read how I get started treating

my Adrenals and Thyroid it a

slow process.

Also read this link the top one is FAQ's about Adrenals and HC.

About 30% of my patients have had adverse reactions to new armour, my self

included. I swithced over to the compounded t4/t3 and levels are starting to

move up. I think it has something to do with your binders. Increasing HC only

makes matters worse because it will use up thyroid what little you have quickly

leaving you high and dry.
