What size needle....question for those guys on IM shots

I have been on shots or injections as we call them in the UK for a

while now and I am currently being shown on how to self administer them.

Anyway they're not to bad I guess, a pain in the arse but nothing too

bad, much worse in the leg on one occassion that saw me hoping around

with a dead leg for about three days.

Anyway I am being taught to draw up the TRT with one needle and inject

with another, but I think the needle I am injecting with might be a bit

bigger than required.

I am drawing up with a blue needle and injecting with a with one, which

might be a 19 guage needle...

Anyway, what needle is generally used and what have you guys found

works best?

If a smaller needle is used by you guys I can mention that to the nurse

and put a request in.
