Guest guest
I'm the Nebraska parent who was one of several parents with children that suffered rather severe upper respiratory illnesses after entering school this last fall. We were treated with a great deal of rudeness, etc and the testing that the district conducted was very limited. Now with the recent ban on Dursban, a teacher called me and asked if any of the tests they did do would have detected these chemicals in the air/environment. She asked because she said it was very common for the janitors to go around the school spraying for bugs, roaches, ants etc. In fact, I remember my daughter telling me how the carpet in the room was crawling with ants. I called a friend of mine that teaches there and she said they " frequently " had the janitors spray for bugs. Do any of you have any more info on this or have you experienced upper respiratory problems from this chemical? I need to arm myself with info if I am even considering approaching the administration with this question. I assume none of the limited testing they did would have shown the presence of these chemicals. They basically did limited air quality tests and two surface tests with scotch tape. Any info you may have, I would appreciate. Sherry
