Thank you so much for this information I learned a whole lot from this.

Can you perhaps tell me about these liver./gallbladder flushes, is there a

recipe you can make without the olive oil, or any oil for that matter. I have

a client who get so nausea - cant stand the oil - so she passes out everytime

she is taking the oil. Any other liver flush recipes in mind? Thank you and

have a nice day.

Hello,

I have heard of the above but can't remember where, it's probably in a

herbalist's book I was browsing through the other day. The ingredients in

yours are

a mixture of calming tonics and peristalsis aiders, liver tonics, diuretics,

anti-emetics ( help prevent nausea) In my holistic herb book there is a

recipe for gb inflammation :

1 part each - dandelion, fringetree bark, wahoo, mountain grape and 2 parts

marshmallow root.Drink it as a tea three times a day.

For gallstones :

2 parts marshmallow root, 1 part each of balmony, boldo, fringetree bark and

goldenseal. Drunk as a tea 3 times daily.

It suggests that if you have an icky stomach too, to take meadowsweet. Also,

barberry comes up as a biggy for liver, gb, jaundice problems (due to

congested liver probs - but avoid during pregnancy). As a bitter tonic with

mild

laxative effects, it is used with weak and debilitated people to strengthen

and

cleanse the system and can reduce en enlarged spleen, so I suppose it helps

with the immune system someway. In gb disease barberry is supposed to combine

well with Fringe Tree Bark and Black Root as a decoction (basically boil

ingrediants up, strain and drink 3 x's daily).

Where you would get the ingredients from is another matter!! Perhaps they

are easier to get over in the US that here. The book has a US author.

Hope this helps someone.

Ronnie,

I don't know of a recipe without oil. However when I mixed the oil with the

grapefruit juice it was a totally different taste altogether. The grapefruit

juice makes the oive oil more palatable. ----- Original Message -----

You can always help the liver with herbs that are beneficial to the liver. I

have done this and had a lot of success. I totally agree about the

grapefruit juice. i also heard that the cleanse using coke cola is much

easier than just the lemon juice.
