Guest guest
When I was on it I was doing 10 grams and my levels were still low so my Dr. was giving me 200mg shots of Depo T every 2 weeks this did not help because it drove up my Estradiol but at that time I did not know about high Estradiol in men and what it will do to you. I later found out I have a low thyroid and people with this problem get a thicker skin and gels and creams don't get through the skin well and you don't get good levels. One thing you need to know about gels in some men the testosterone from it will not support your joints and muscles mine got so bad I was house bound and in a lot of pain. I posted about this after suffering some yrs. on the gels and Norton got back to me telling me he had the same problem. He said he stopped the gels and went on shots of T and the problem was gone. I had less pain on the first shot so this is just a heads up on what can happen. Also doing labs on gels or creams you need to do a good shower in the morning they go get your labs done then come home and put on the gel or cream. If you don't do this your levels can get spiked up very high and your Dr. will think your dose is to high and lower it letting you crash. If you can't do this put on the gel or cream but don't get it on the area they take the blood and do labs in 4 to 6 hrs if you do them sooner your levels will be higher and your Dr. will lower your dose. Then testosterone says just under the skin for 4 to 6 hrs going into your blood slow so if you do labs after putting on the gel or cream it can spike you levels up very high. Guest guest
HAN, I'll be having my blood tests done in the next few days. Should I NOT apply the cream 2 yrs before the tests? I'm confussed by this. Will this mess the tests up? > > > From: ilzho <ilzho@...> > > Subject: Androgel amounts > > > > Date: Friday, October 23, 2009, 9:14 AM > > Helllo all. Guest guest
Bad typo 2yrs before test no the morning of the Test don't put on the cream if your doing labs right after your up. Shower then do labs then put on the cream. If you can't do this put on the cream but don't get it on the spot they take the blood and do labs 4 to 6 hrs. after you put it on. As for Hard do what he wants if your seeing him. Guest guest
How do you feel on this and do you check your Estradiol and DHT levels. Guest guest
Phil, I fine better than 3 months ago, but not 100%. My Estradiol was 41 (13-54) in July and I asked my endo for ardimex and he prescribed 1 (10mg) pill daily; I know better and am doing .25 every 3rd day in the evening. My DHT levels on 8/11/09 was 94(25-75), just re-checked levels today, along with an evening cortisol saliva test. I will post the results when I receive them next week; Thanks Phil for being there for us. > > > From: Don Beaton <dbeaton1234@...> > > Subject: RE: Androgel amounts > > > > Date: Friday, October 23, 2009, 10:29 AM > > I started out on 2.5 last August 2008 > > and was on that until January; then moved me up to 5.0 > > until May, now on 10.0. > > > > Androgel amounts > > > > > > Helllo all. Guest guest
Hey there Phil Just to let you know - I had to go and see my GP today, as he was sorting out the Cabergoline and Testogel on a repeat prescription for me (the endo is still looking after me in terms of testing and regular assessments). I had my first blood test a couple of weeks ago so he had a quick scan through the results. Exactly as you predicted, the testosterone level is now low - in fact, lower than it was when I first started taking one sachet of Testogel per day. For the other lads here - Phil did go through this under the thread " Testogel or Andropatch. " I am not sure how this happened, but the prolactin check was missed off. I have to be re-tested on Monday. There were other tests done but because the results were FAO the endo I do not think he bothered looking through those. I will keep you guys posted. I believe it is actually a week on Monday (not on this coming Monday as I thought) that I see the endo. Take care ade > > Helllo all.
