Well, my husband had radiation therapy back in '91 when he had to have a

testical removed because he had testicular cancer. He had some pretty stiff

amounts of radiation from his groin area all the way up to his upper chest. Can

the radiation itself cause cancer? Yes, it can in years to come. He's had lots

of reflux problems off and on for years. We both know it's because of the

radiation causing scar tissue buildup.

Let me state that we all do what we know to do at the time. If I had known

in 1990 about Dr. Lee's research about female problems, I might have been able

to avoid a total hyst. Maybe or maybe not, I will never know. I could never

have children, so my husband and I adopted. I don't even think Dr. Lee's book

was even out then. So I did what I knew I had to do after years and years

and years of being in extreme pain all the time. I found out that my mother had

taken DES, so I was a DES baby. Luckily I didn't have cancer yet, only

screwed up female organs. And my mother only did what she knew best at the

time.

She was having miscarriage after miscarriage and wanted a baby, so the doctor

put her on DES to help stop the miscarriages.

Don't beat yourself up. You were in pain and having illness and did what you

thought was the right thing to do. Keep that in mind.
