Guest guest
Dear Anne, I appreciate your comments. For years I lived on organic meats, etc, and certainly agree that if you are going to eat animal products, organic is best. However, after experiencing the results of going off all animal products, I can only recommend the Hallelujah diet to anyone to is chronically ill. I have been battling chronic Lyme disease for over 24 years. I was misdiagnosed for 22 years, so I didn't get anti-biotics until the last few years. By this stage it was too late. I already have muscle-wasting, vision problems and neurological damage. Prior to this diet I was numb down my left side, my glands were hugely swollen, I had severe migraines often, breast lumps etc, etc. I was eating what I thought was a healthy, balanced diet. But animal products turn the blood fatty and Lyme had effected my circulation terribly. When I started on this diet I was using a walking frame most days and a wheelchair sometimes. (I'm 46 years old!) The diet has made such a huge difference to my health. I used to think we needed lots of protein, but the truth is that in the West we eat way too much protein. When you eat animal products, it turns your system acidic. In order to neutralise the acid, the body leeches calcium (alkaline) from the bones. The medical term is " Protein Induced Hypercalciurea " , meaning that you are literally peeing the calcium out when you eat too much protein. The highest rates of Osteoporosis are in the countries where the most animal products are eaten, contrary to popular advertising! If you want to know more about this do a search for Dr. Klaper's " A Diet For All Reasons. " It's really amazing. As much as I love the taste of meats, I could never go back to the shocking state I was in from eating them. Wishing you health, Rosemary. ----- Original Message ----- From: <kblomrich@...> <gallstones > Sent: Monday, May 12, 2003 2:47 AM Subject: Re: The Perils Of Animal Products. > Hi - I tend to agree with Vince on this one (not to pick a fight Rosemary, > your posts are always informative and helpful) but I disagree, to an extent, > on the animal products. > > I never buy supermarket meat.
