Guest guest
Hello, I have been on my Chinese medicine for three weeks now and feel quite well. Touch wood, I have had no attacks or real pain - just niggles now and again and not so many now. I feel less anxious, if you can understand that, and sleep better. I didn't feel this well when I was taking the supplements and enzymes, although I felt ok and certainly better than when I was having and after the gb attacks. When I was hospitalised and given powerful drugs and anti-biotics, I could smell them coming out of my pores - took me weeks to get rid of that smell. I also felt as though my mind wasn't my own - land of the fairies stuff! This medicine is different; I can feel it doing something, it's like it's stripping dirt away from my insides. I can feel it working all the time. The herbal decoction, when boiled up and strained, is really, really bitter and I sometimes think that my tastebuds have been stripped away but it's a small price to pay if I can keep my gb and get healthy again. You take a cup half an hour after breakfast and evening meals. I haven't been a saint in the food department but have not gone mad either, am just eating in moderation, although am keeping off salads, dairy, caffeine, (most fats - though not religiously) and cold drinks which are bad for the kidneys and digestive system when you are ill. The Chinese doctor said that the stuff she is giving me will dissolve the stones down so that they will pass out in bowel movements eventually and thinks it will take a couple of months to sort it out. It is a sort of flush. She is an amazingly calm person and I think it is wearing off on me. I feel very safe in her care, more than I did with the hospital consultant, who scared me. I suppose it is because she knows what she is prescribing/doing in a natural way. It's been around for thousands of years, so there must be something right about it. When you take supplements, etc sometimes it's a bit hit and miss and you never truly know if you are overdoing it/mixing the wrong supplements, etc. At least that's how I felt. I just read up on them and took what I thought was right. After the stones are cleared I suppose I will have to watch what I eat so as not to develop anymore of the little blighters! That is just common sense. I will then follow a liver friendly diet as prescribed on this site by the extremely informative members and do the liver cleanse for a full spring clean! The Chinese doctor has told me to get an ultrasound in a month to determine the size/count of stones; then, if I want, I can do ultrasounds periodically to see how well it is working, if the conventional doctor will ok the ultrasound. If not, will just have to find a doctor who is sympathetic to this type of medicine. The herbs have cleared up a multitude of sins (apart from the pain and nausea) including a flushed complexion and foggy vision. Period this time was much less painful, too. I am much even tempered (wish it could do something for my intelligence!!) My tongue is much cleaner and fresher (apparently, a coated tongue is a sign of malfunctioning internal organs). Stools are normal colour. I am still a little tired, but nothing compared to how it was before. Anyway, I am a single mum of three doing a university course, running a household alone - no wonder I am tired! Seriously though, I suppose, like everything, it will take time to get better. Her prescription is a little secretive, but I don't care as long as the gb improves and stones go. Sorry that I can't pass on anymore about the ingredients of the herb treatment. Her shop is part of a national chain in the UK and not some little mystical shop in a back alleyway in downtown Chinatown, if you know what I mean. It's all up front. It's not cheap either (will cost about £400 for my course of treatment) but I was paying £70 a month in supplements/digestive healers anyway and it would have taken me much longer to clear the gb, so in the long run I think it is worth it. I got a book on Chinese herbal secrets from the library and identified a few of the herbs prescribed and would suggest that if anybody wants to try and treat themselves this way or gen up on it, to get an afore-mentioned book or research it on the net (sorry for being so obvious). I found the library book more helpful and informative. I suppose you could order in the herbs and carry out a do it yourself treatment and maybe save money this way but I could never be that organised! Some might poo poo this type of medicine, but each to their own I say. If you have faith in whatever " medicine " you are taking, be it conventional or alternative, to help yourself then that's half the battle over with. Hope this gives some of you the faith to carry on helping yourselves to get your health back up to par. Good health.
Guest guest
I think everyone with gallstones has done tons of research, there are just so many different opinions and so many different options that it is impossible to know everything. i have spent countless hours on the internet and at the library and talking to people in the same sitution and also talking to natural health professionals and every one has something diffferent to say. Since nothing having to do with natural approaches is proven and not everyone has the same results it is good to try everything and find differnt opinions and options so that you can find the best one for you. and some times it is nice to talk to people that can relate. >From: " Vanadeux " <vanadeux@...> >Reply-gallstones ><gallstones > >Subject: Just a thought about in general. >Date: Thu, 22 May 2003 14:09:15 +0100 > >I think these groups are a brilliant idea, especially as they are free, >but I do think sometimes we are all guilty as members, of expecting/hoping >for all our answers to come via the other group members. > >The information available is usually due to individual members doing their >own research and passing on to the group. Guest guest
I totally agree with you, the chinese medicine and the accupunture helped me soooo much. I actually liked the herbs though!! call me crazy. I wish I could have afforded to keep going, maybe I would still have my gallbladder. >From: SEMMARIA@... >Reply-gallstones >gallstones >Subject: Re: Just a thought about in general. >Date: Thu, 22 May 2003 18:17:27 EDT > > > >Hello, > >I have been on my Chinese medicine for three weeks now and feel quite well. >Touch wood, I have had no attacks or real pain - just niggles now and again >and not so many now. Guest guest
Nobody has taken the time to do the controlled studys, I guess. I personally dont need it to be proven to try it. Alot of things have been done for so long they are just known to do certain things. I think even natural remedies are like pharmaceuticals in the way that certain things work for certain people and if one thing doesnt work , just try another. >From: Mashteen Baqir <mashteenbaqir@...> >Reply-gallstones >gallstones >Subject: Re: Just a thought about in general. >Date: Fri, 23 May 2003 14:04:45 +0300 > >At 02:39 PM 22-05-03 -0500, remsmom01 stated: > > >Since nothing having to do with natural approaches is > >proven and not everyone has the same results it is good to try everything > >and find differnt opinions and options so that you can find the best one >for > >you. and some times it is nice to talk to people that can relate. > >Why do you suppose it is that nothing is proven? > > > >//////////////////////////////////////////////////// >mailto:mashteenbaqir@... >\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ > > ---------- > > >--- >Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. >Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). >Version: 6.0.483 / Virus Database: 279 - Release Date: 19-May-03 > > >
Guest guest
If it is proven scientifically, alot of doctors, surgeons and drug companies will lose a lot of money.
Guest guest
, this sounds interesting. Could you share the names of the herbs with the group. --- SEMMARIA@a... wrote: > > > Hello, > > I have been on my Chinese medicine for three weeks now and feel quite well. > Touch wood, I have had no attacks or real pain - just niggles now and again > and not so many now. ........you could > order in the herbs and carry out a do it yourself treatment and maybe save > money this way but I could never be that organised! >
