Guest guest
Thanks for writing Tom, I called my doctor several weeks ago to hear the results on his final test; transferrin. According to him, my transferrin was low, so I could not have hemochromatosis. Later that night I learned by myself that transferrin actually is lowered when people have high iron levels, so if anything, it negated his conclusion. Anyway, I proceed to to ask for an explanation of my elevated ferritin and told him what I think is a plausible argument; that since hemochromatosis is a illness that takes time to show up, it could very well be that I`m in an early phase of the illness. His answer was that I should just wait and that there was nothing wrong with me. I pressed for the test, but he would not give it to me, and said that the specialist would laugh at him if he were to ask for such a test. I hung up on him and decided to never see him anymore and then ordered an appointment with a doctor in the private sector. I went to this doctor yesterday and finally I met some understanding and someone who at least have a clue about the issue at hand. His personal opinion was that he did not think that I have hemochromatosis, and that he wanted to take his own tests first. I pressed to take the gene test and he let me take it after checking that he had the right to do so. Unfortunately, the doctor is leaving for vacation so I won`t get the results before 4-5 weeks or so. It feels good to finally have gotten the test. Either way, he recommended me to become a blood donor to get my ferritin levels down. I signed up yesterday so I hope I can donate very soon. As a sidenote, I have had sex with two girls the last three weeks. Both very beautiful girls that I really liked. What surprised me was that I did not get a 100% erection even though I was relaxed and comfortable with the situation. I also did not feel any drive. This furthers my suspicion that something is not as it should be. Tom, Did you experience a change in life when you lowered your ferritin levels? Please share your experiences. Will I get back my sexdrive and 100% erections when lowering my blood levels, if the ferritin is what is causing it? I`m not sure what else it could be. According to several doctors, my hormonal levels are completely fine. Thanks so much in advance, Best regards, ny > > > > > > > > Hello all, > > > > > > > > I just received my fresh bloodwork and the ferritin levels are even higher this time. > > > > > > > > In March, I had 340. > > > > > > > > On this test, I had 405. > > > > > > > > Upper reference level is 250. > > > > > > > > I also tested FSH and LH, and these were at the exact levels as last time, i.e. bottom range. I`m curious if the high ferritin levels could be what is pushing FSH and LH down. > > > > > > > > I have an appointment with my doctor on friday 5th of June. > > > > > > > > Do you guys think I should speed up the process and ask if I can see another doc?
