Guest guest
When I was fourteen years old, I caught the mumps and lost one testicle. Although a few doctors told me that shouldn't cause me to have ED, something has. Throughout my adult life, my testosterone levels have been in the low normal range for my age. My previous Urologist would not prescribe testosterone replacement therapy because he felt it would cause my prostate to enlarge. That doctor retired, causing me to seek a new urologist. The new doctor prescribed testosterone replacement therapy. I've been using Androgel at a dose of 5g for about a month now with some positive results. My libido has marginally improved. My mood seems better. I've lost a noticeable amount of belly fat. However, none of these improvements seem very dramatic. Should I expect that the improvements will continue given more time or do they plateau at some point? According to the information I've read about Androgel, testosterone continues to absorb transdermally for 24 hours. I exercise at the gym six days a week using a combination of free weights and machines. Yesterday was leg day. I noticed I'd worked up quite a good sweat while doing leg presses. Would the sweat transferring to my workout clothes from the Androgel application site, which is my abdomen, lessen the amount of testosterone my body absorbs? Another concern I have is that I generally apply a lotion to my skin after showering in the morning. Now I am doing this after I apply the Androgel and I have not been putting any lotion on my stomach. Can I put lotion over the Androgel after it dries or sometime later?
