Guest guest
Zora, I had the same problem with non-fatty foods. As a matter of fact, fatty foods never really bothered me, but chicken breast would almost always bring on an attack. I was starting to think that the problem wasn't my gall bladder because chicken breast has hardly any fat. My doctor told me that the bile in the gall bladder is also used to break down certain kinds of protein. He said that chicken breast can be hard to digest if it is overcooked or tough. This makes the gall bladder work harder to release more bile to break it down. I even know someone who doesn't have gall stones and she can't digest chicken breast. My advice would be to stay away from chicken breast or any other food that causes a bad reaction. About foods that dissolve gall stones - I only know of apple juice and peppermint oil, but I have never heard of them causing attacks. Good luck and best of health to you...Randi > Can someone provide me, please, with a list of (or links to) non- fat > foods that might stimulate the gallbladder and cause an attack. > > I just had another horrible long attack that started last night, and > I can't figure what caused it. Guest guest
thats interesting because I have been a vegetarian since a child and still had this massive gallblader attack. I now try to eat no fat (really boring) and so far (2 weeks) I havent had to be hospitalised. I do feel like I am living with a time bomb though and trying to finish a Masters Degree at the same time. I am going to start on the apple juice hoping that will help too. I take berberis, chandra pedra tea, milk thisle and I think that is about all I can cope with at the moment. >From: " Vic and Rosemary " <roseagain@...> >Reply-gallstones ><gallstones > >Subject: Fw: Re: non-fatty food causing attacks? Guest guest
Hi gang, Who says that chicken is low fat? From the studies I read ALL animal flesh has plenty of cholesterol. Even fish has lots of cholesterol. I am not surprised that eating chicken breast brought on an attack. I have not had a bad gb attack since I gave up eating animal products over 3 years ago. I am now doing the liver flushes to remove the stones that were caused by 42 years of eating dead animals. Rosemary. Zora, I had the same problem with non-fatty foods.
