Guest guest
In 3 to 4 days your levels will peak and you should feel something I lost a lot of pain in my joints and muscles. Most feel better once they get there levels up onto the Upper 1/3 of there labs range and keep there Estradiol E2 levels down to about 20 pg/ml doing this your body will start to undo the damage done by the low Testosterone and you start to feel better a little at a time everyday. It's not an over night process for most of us it takes time. In this link you will learn all about what I just said it's a good read. http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html Co-Moderator Phil > From: wilfredtr <no_reply > > Subject: Re: Testo Types > > Date: Friday, August 7, 2009, 11:48 AM > Oh my, that site was an eye-opener. > Thanks for the info. > How soon after my very first shot can I expect to feel the > difference/? > > > > > > > From: wilfredtr <no_reply > > > > Subject: Testo Types > > > > > > Date: Thursday, August 6, 2009, 10:07 PM > > > I see there are three types of Testo > > > injections. Guest guest
Thanks Phil. Did you ever consider creating your own website? You seem to be *the* most knowledgeable person on this subject, with access to abundant resources. You must be tired of people like me who just 2 weeks ago found out about Low-T and ask the same newbie questions! There's so much help in these threads. One thing I see over and over again is the twisted journey (myself included) many men have taken to find the problem and identify a doctor. Perhaps there's a way to start to compile a list of TRT friendly doctors? > > > > > > > From: wilfredtr <no_reply > > > > > Subject: Testo Types > > > > > > > > Date: Thursday, August 6, 2009, 10:07 PM > > > > I see there are three types of Testo > > > > injections. Guest guest
That is some story. My symptoms aren't as dramatic, but thats pretty much it. My doc been treating ALL of my symptoms OF low T. When he added another pill to the 5 I was taking to treat my high colostorol, I said thats it. Another damn pill and I'm only 50 yrs old? TEST EVERYTHING, I mean E.V.E.R.T.H.I.N.G. Found the low T. My mother had her thyroid removed (I think it was a growth) and has been taking Synthoid for over 20 years. Can thyroid issues be inherited? What's the relationship between Low-Thy and Low-Tes ? > > > > > > > > > > > From: wilfredtr <no_reply > > > > > > > Subject: Testo Types > > > > > > > > > > > > Date: Thursday, August 6, 2009, 10:07 > > PM > > > > > > I see there are three types of Testo > > > > > > injections. Guest guest
RetroGrouch Some will tell you that is a lot of Testosterone. I take twice the amount you do. So... Keep in mind... your body is different from everyone else's. They take what is right for them... you must take what is right for you. Don't let anyone try to put you into a category of " normal " or " not normal " . Keep doing what is right for YOU and no one else. That said... this is a good place for information. But your TRT program is for YOU... and only YOU. Based on Your Labs. Re: Testo Types On Fri, 07 Aug 2009 02:07:03 -0000, you wrote: >I see there are three types of Testo injections. Guest guest
We all have to remember this Group is for educated guesses and information. The final decisions should all be made along with your doctor. We can all say what we do but everyone is different. There are currently accepted standards we judge everyone by. These standard usually need some personal tweaking. As an example, I am a fast metabolizer and only get to 500-600ng/dl with 200mg of TC a week. This test value goes up and down but I have seen this range a couple of times. I believe everyone will do best if the information is presented for use as discussion topics with ones doctor. ________________________________ From: Xcaliber <xcaliber69@...> Sent: Friday, August 7, 2009 5:45:42 PM Subject: Re: Testo Types  RetroGrouch Some will tell you that is a lot of Testosterone. Guest guest
Yes your right and I try to say this most of the time but it's a given. We both are fast metabolizer's of T your doing 800 mgs / month and so am I but I do an 80mg shot every 3 days with 400 IU's the 2 days each in between my T shots I stop HCG a week before labs and my levels stay up between 800 to 900 from lab to lab test and I do labs every 8 weeks. It's important to get informed and ask the right questions and check up on what your doctor is doing. It's important to work form a place of knowledge. Most of us have found we have had to take an active role to get the treatment we deserve and combat our own doctors ignorance.
Guest guest
Thank you! You are right about education. I'm unemployed and I read for over ten hours a day for the last two weeks. I...like almost everyone else have been taking all kinds of pills that were for stuff due to low T. Spreading the word and gaing acceptance is something I'm going to do for the rest of my life.I suggest we all get involved in responding to every post anywhere that mentions testostorone. I will. Guest guest
 I take 210 per week.  I have severe Hypogonadism.  I suffered emensley. My first endo refused to give me more than 5 grams of Androgel a day.   Please remember we all need to be in the optimum levals and that all of our bodies have different damage and requirements.  So Sir my advise is to work on YOUR BODY and its optimum levals. ________________________________ From: " retrogrouch@... There certainly are a lot of " testy " folks around these days. :-> What's your total T on these levels? I'm merely supplying info. ANd a few people are getting their shorts in a bunch. I'm surprised . Info is good. I differentiate between advice and info. It's a fact - most of us here take around 100mg a week to get levels around 600 - 800. A very few take much more than that. The doctors knowledge base on these issues is generally abysmal. SO we need our own info and knowledge to assure ourselves our docs know what they are doing or to get them to do what's right. Knowing what most others get is a good starting point. ________________________ >From: " retrogrouch@... Guest guest
You're right! The more I learn the more testy I get....at my own experience and others! This is just wrong! Todays the 4th day after my 1st T-Shot and already I'm feeling better. I get checked next Wed morn. I was at 157 before. Now speaking of tests and getting testy...WHY...if T is at itshighest during the morning hours is the reccomendation to test then? Isn't this as good as its ever gonna be? Won't it make more sense to test at the LOWEST point in the day??? > > > >>I see there are three types of Testo injections. I just started and was given T-Cyp 200mg , once a week. Guest guest
No you test first thing in the morning to find out if you have low T after your on TRT you can test any time in the day on shots but do the labs before doing the shot on the day of your next shot so you can see how low your going if to low this is what makes us feel bad. So it's best to test in the morning before your next shot on gels same thing but do a good shower make sure no gels are on your arms so you don't spike up your labs hitting the gel on your arm when taking the blood. Your feeling better on the 4th day after your shot because this is when your shot hits the highest levels in your blood after this it will fall and keep falling until you do your next shot. The first is that labs are not open the late evening, like 10 pm or midnight when you are at your lowest. Why would they stay open just for one test out of the hundreds that they do? The next is that the normal levels have been developed from highest levels and doctors who treat low T use these levels. So if everyone were to test when they are at their lowest the target levels would have to be adjusted. For instance, when a doctor tells a 60 year old guy that he should be at least 500 when tested in the early morning, he would now tell that same guy that he should be at least 300 if testing were to be done at night as a standard practice. Clinical trials test subjects throughout the day, but base effectiveness on peak levels.
Guest guest
Well, *I* would say, sure its justified to stay open to just do my one test. Or if I'm not enough, then do more tests, more often to justify it. That being said, I understand that if the norm has been to test in the morning, then comparing test results against the same time line makes sense. But what about the guy who test at 350 in the morning, and is down to 250 or lower the rest of the day, and is denied treatment? Guest guest
If you are testing at 350 at 8 am then you should NOT be denied treatment unless you are in your 80s or 90s. The problem is not in when you test, it is in the doctor not understanding anything about hormones and just going by the lab normals. Remember that the lab normals are for men between the ages of 18 and 90. The doctors have to realize that and treat appropriately. If a doctor is like mine and realizes that a 64 year old man should be at least 500 then if I tested in the evening and was at 400, but at 800 in the morning, he would be putting me on TRT when the problem would obviously not be low T. > > > > > > You're right! Guest guest
Any Dr. worth his salt that would not treat a men after seeing him below 400 is not worth wasting your time with. But then a good Dr. would treat one by how he feels not his labs and would not put one on TRT until he tested everything to see why he is low. Life is to short to mess with Dr.'s that are not up on TRT and testing.
