Guest guest
The cause or the result? I donate blood every 8 weeks and deal with shedding excess red blood cells that way. Guest guest
Hi Phil The Doctors are still scratching their heads LOL because they didn't expect that to show up but they didn't see any extra tissue growth or obstruction in the left atrium in the echocardiogram so they are going to put me on meds to slow or stop the arrythmia but my endo found that the dopamine was not getting from my hypothalmic neurons to the pituitary gland so my prolactin levels were always high and now they came back at 6 which is near normal ranges for men. After being put on a dopamine reuptake inhibitor. I guess he is saying that he thinks it is a fluctuation of T4 that is causing problems and arythmia that could have caused the enlarging of the atrium. As I do have a hypoplasic anterior pituitary (looks like pituitary stalk is affected) and so far its only the prolactin that is out of whack and my LH levels and FSH seem to fluctuate along with TSH. Which he says is what prolactin does when it gets high shuts off LH FSH AND TSH. SO the water is getting a little rough over here! As I have had to stop the reuptake inhibition of dopamine meds and T since my wife wants to try to have our second kid. Go in for a follow up in a little while and we will see what my normal status is because MY family doctor SCREWED UP AND NEVER DID A COMPLETE BREAKDOWN OF WHAT WAS GOING ON WHEN I FIRST GOT DIAGNOSED and just started doing T shots but he is hearing about it from my ENDO now. Mine is not doing much anymore I am on every hormone that it makes now. So keep an eye on this hell it took me 23 yrs to find out I have a pituitary probelm. manraj2005 <no_reply > wrote: Hi Phil The Doctors are still scratching their heads LOL because they didn't expect that to show up but they didn't see any extra tissue growth or obstruction in the left atrium in the echocardiogram so they are going to put me on meds to slow or stop the arrythmia but my endo found that the dopamine was not getting from my hypothalmic neurons to the pituitary gland so my prolactin levels were always high and now they came back at 6 which is near normal ranges for men. Guest guest
Thanks Phil I will keep an eye on it. I am so screwed up hormonally but if I can get this behind me I might take a crack at med school. Being through this journey I know that we need people out in the medical field who know what its really like to be taking hormone supplements and how to treat patients properly. talk to ya later Manraj -- In , philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: > > Well you do know pituitary problems get worse for some as we get older. Guest guest
It's not good it gets to thick and you can have a stroke or heart attack. If you giving blood every 8 weeks you need to test your Ferritin and Iron levels they can be low and this can make you fatigued and you can start to have breathing problems. This happened to me my Hemoglobin, Red blood cell count and Hematocrit are now above the normal range. But I am on Iron pill doing 212 mgs of Elemental Iron a day. Dr. told me these levels will be high on a blood test do to the iron pills and he has me stop taking them a week before testing. But your giving blood like this to keep your hematocrit down can lower your Iron. As for your E2 levels I use Indolplex/DIM to keep my E2 down this is sold OTC and if you try this just take one at dinner time you can tell your E2 is down because you will start geting back your night time and morning wood so strong it will wake you up. I use this as a gage to keep from going down to low taking Arimidex or Indolplex/DIM. So when you get wood like this your E2 is at it's best level. Keep taking the Indolplex/DIM but if your wood stops and you can't get it up your going down on your E2 " Estradiol " to low. So stop taking it until your wood comes back then that day go back on it but cut the tablet in half. http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html It is also good to take some TMG at bedtime this helps your liver wash out the bad E's the DIM converts form the E2. http://www.myvitanet.com/tmgtr75120ca.html Here is a link about DIM if you try this use the brand I gave you a link to I have tried a lot of different kinds of DIM and found most to be junk. http://www.dimfaq.com/index.htm zorroceasar <zorroceasar@...> wrote: hi I am 50 year male not overweigt ,secondary hypo Takes T cypionate injection 100mg per week intra muscular also HCG subq 250iU 2times per week T is high end and E2 high after injections libido very good cant understand it cause all literature suggets with high E2 it should be low been on this regimen last 2 years Doctor does not want to give something to bring high E2 down. Guest guest
I just was in the hospital for a false alarm heart attack. Full cardiac workup over two days. The cardiologist was not at all concerned over hematocrit at the absolute top of the range, and told me that it was platelet count that was the real indicator of risk. Guest guest
If your crit gets too high that means that you have too many red blood cells. If the RBC cout get over range they can start blocking the smaller blood vessels. This can lead to muscle & head aches. If it gets higher then the clots & strokes can occur. Give to the Red Cross a pint of blood every 2 months to keep it thinned out. > > > hi > > > > I am 50 year male > > not overweigt ,secondary hypo > > > > Takes T cypionate injection 100mg per week intra muscular > > also HCG subq 250iU 2times per week > > > > T is high end and E2 high after injections > > libido very good > > cant understand it cause all literature suggets with high E2 > > it should be low > > > > been on this regimen last 2 years > > Doctor does not want to give something to bring high E2 > > down. > > > > I donate blood every 2 months > > My question > > My red blood count is high end > > Is this dangerous for forming clots > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Now I am on Iron pills 4 months now and my count is high above range on a number of the tests. Red Blood Cell Count. Hemoglobin Hematocrit RDW MPV Absolute Neutrophiss Yet my labs for Ferritin are still dam low stated at 18 now now after 4 months only 31 Dr. said he wants it above 100. I posted this at Dr. 's and everyone told me I need to give blood. My Dr. said it's high because of the iron pills and if I gave blood my Iron would fall even more. gin2c <no_reply > wrote: If your crit gets too high that means that you have too many red blood cells. There's at least three parts to sex drive. One is libido, - appeal interest; the other is physical arousal - the erection and then physical enjoyment/pleasure. With high E2 you can have a strong desire and weak erection or none. With low E2 you end up with no libido and no arousal. Someone described sex with low E2 as felling about as good as a handshake.
