Guest guest
Dear Jim, There is another benefit to taking increased amounts of arginine, and that is that the body will respond by increasing the amount of nitric oxide produced. Nitric oxide is used to open blood vessels (vasodilation), so it is crucial for preventing angina (nitroglycerin patches) and producing erections (Viagra). Best of Health! Guest guest
For me it has helped greatly with getting food down. I seem to choke alot. Also, I would check with your doctor and read information on it before you take it. It does have some indications for diabetic. It can interact adversely with some drugs. It's actual name is L-Arginine and is widely available at health food stores. J.C. Arginine > I don't want to make anyone rehash the arginine story but I do have > one quick question. Guest guest
When my Thyroid gets low I get Heartburn and Reflux this is due to low acid in the stomach taking meds to lower acid does not help. But taking Apple Cider Vinegar in some water about one tablespoon to about 2oz's of water before each meal. I get Bagg this is the best brand. http://209.200.91.245/products/acv.html As for the alfa keto arginine even doing a search does not show this. I did a search at the web site I buy Vit.'s from and can't find anything called alfa keto arginine. I take Arginine at bed time this is the brand. http://www.myvitanet.com/twinarcap100.html Co-Moderator Phil > From: joe <jadonahuejr@...> > Subject: arginine > > Date: Monday, August 25, 2008, 9:37 PM > Doc I saw said belly was big due to too much cortisol. Guest guest
Look for Arginine AKG. That is arginine alpha-keto glutarate. You will find it amongst the body building supplements. NOX is a pretty good brand. It doesn't upset my stomach. > > Doc I saw said belly was big due to too much cortisol. Guest guest
Hi, I've been taking arginine (and/or arginine/ornithine combined caps) for a decade or more... they were originally touted as a weight loss aid... something about increasing HGH production. what they DO do is help circulation... much like Viagra helps circulation... and can really help with erection issues. but... it can make herpes worse... and yes you probably have some form of herpes (regular old cold sores are herpes for example) so it might be a good idea to take a lysine with it. ttyl
