Guest guest
Ok, if you want pellets here is what you need to know. Only fused pellets, make sure to ask if they are fused or compressed. Fused last 4-6 months and compressed pellets last 6-8 weeks and dump the T fast and irregularly. Second don't use the 75mg or 100mg unless to do fine dosage adjustments. The more pellets implanted in the same track the more likely your will reject. Have some topical testosterone on hand near the end in case you need a top off which happens sometimes. Find someone who really knows how to implant these and be sterile. Phil or Earnst can tell you the formula for dosage which is intended for use with the fused implants not the compressed ones. Whoever makes them, make sure you know the conditions of the lab and follow strict aftercare. Suture the area shut, it is just a better wound closure. Pellets need to be at least 5 inches from the incision site to lower rejection rates and gravity plays a role in movement so place the pellet below the incision. Make sure as much air is removed from the pocket and tape around the pellets. Then put a tensor/ Ace bandage around the area for a week. If you have any problems go back to the tape and bandage until the area settles down. Be gentle and consider your lifestyle when choosing implant sites. Consider never implanting more then two and ideally one pellet per track, having the implanter create a T shape at the end of the track to hold the pellets a bit and take it easy until they are healed. A good implanter can look at an area with what he is implanting and see the perfect spot in your skin where nature will help the pellets stay in place. A bad doctor will shove them in and not know different or care. My surgeon stared at the area and felt it while thinking for about 10 minutes and before he began did it all over again so he could understand the dynamics of my skin *before* implanting anything. Avoid the hip area for implanting, it is high risk for rejections. trannyboy
Guest guest
Bartor Pharmacal of Rye, NY is one of the earliest pellet producers for the very early years when Dr. Greenblatt, Augusta GA, was involved in his work in hormone therapy for both men and women since the 1950's. Many now provide these pellets. He takes doctors calls. A relative produces the E hormone for women. Dr. Natrajan of Augusta, GA has a web site and is one of the survivors also trained by Dr. Greenblatt. It is not an easy move to become familiar with the use of the trocar for insertion of the pellets. The placement of the pellets for effectiveness and safety is also essential training is required. You should not be a training aid. http://members.aol.com/natrajan9/index.htm This address must change within 30 days as AOL is dropping web space for subscribers. ernestnolan > > Hi all, some of you may remember me from over the years, I have not > posted in quite a while. Guest guest
I have been using pellets for the past year and a half, and I must say that I like not having to worry about applying gels or creams. The implant proceedure is really not that bad, and I have only had one pellet come out. Since going on pellets, I have not been getting anywhere near the E2 as a result of aromitisatin. My doctor gets his pellets from the following provider. http://www.sottopellelife.com/ However, my insurance plan views these pellets as experimental medication as they are from a compounding pharmacy. However, my plan will pay a portion of the Bartor Pharmacuetical pellets. The ironic thing is that I pay less for the Sottopelle pellets outright then I do on my copay on the Bartor Pharmacuetical pellets.

Same for me...keeps the E2 below 100 and therefore no shrinkage of the genitals. I have been on pellets for 2 years and rather these than any injections, creams etc.  Mike  Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger. Guest guest
Hi, From 1991, I was receiving my pellets from Dr. Sipi of N. Bergen, NJ His death stopped that source. While receiving TRT and talking at length with Dr. Sipi, I received much of the information about the evolution of TRT since the 50's. Bardani of Bartor Pharmacal, Rye NY, was one of his few friends and was named in his will as the executor of his estate. They had known each other for decades as and a relative of his were the supplier of the pellets for the pioneering work by Dr. Greenblatt from the 50's. As both Betty and myself both received HRT we needed a replacement endocrinologist which would provide pellet therapy. We called many cities and could not find anyone in the NE US. We did talk one OB/GYN in Rochester to give Betty pellets but he was timid when it came to an adequate dosage. One other women had previously asked him for T pellets and Betty was his first patient to receive both T and E. I called Bardani and he was nice enough over 10 years ago to give me a list of doctors who ordered hormone pellets. It turned out 95% would not treat men but there was no information that allowed me to know that in advance. As our son lived in Raleigh, NC we finally elected to drive 10 hours down from NY to spend a weekend with our son and travel down from Raleigh on a Friday or Monday to Augusta, GA. It is nearly 400 miles one way. We now live in Durham, NC and still make the trip down and back in one day. In the 60's Hollywood types including Bob Hope would fly in to Augusta every 4 months for pellets until CA finally got some pellet doctors. I have been active here trying to get more patients excited about pellet therapy hoping this can not be ignored by doctors. The internet still does not provide easy access to qualified endocrinologists that provide pellet therapy. Keep it up Phil and maybe things can change for the better. For your information, at 76 I had to go back to work because of Betty's medical insurance cost. I now work 25 - 30 hours/week for Lowe's in the TOOL WORLD in NW Cary, NC, going up and down ladders all day. I'm the oldest guy in the store at 76. ernestnolan > > > From: sbryant511 <sbryant511@...> > > Subject: Re: Need Pellet information > > > > Date: Thursday, October 16, 2008, 10:42 PM > > I have been using pellets for the past year and a half, and > > I must say > > that I like not having to worry about applying gels or > > creams. Guest guest
Phil I had 1600 mg of testosterone put in my left buttock area. They were 200 mg sotopelle pellets. I weigh right around 200 lbs. My doctor extrapolates from my previous batches of pellets to determine how many pellets that I will need to hit 800ish levels. From what I can tell the real tecnically difficult part of using pellet based TRT is how well they are inserted. I dont have stitches afteward, but the area does swell up and after it heals over you can feel the pellets beneath the skin.
