I (female) had them implanted; they were not nearly the right dose (but it could

have been too high a dose too)and for me, it was way to $$$ to pay 700$ for

pellets that did not work at all...it's a good way for doc to do *surgery*

procedure and charge accordingly..I think they probably work for some folks, but

it was a miss in my book..El.

Yep when I tried them it cost me a lot of money over $1500 by the time I got

done and I never felt good. Today I know why not enough pellets I needed about

1500 mgs they only gave me 600. Here in MI. I can't find a good price with the

amount of pellets I need. Every DR. here doing them are riping people off. I

have family members on them male and female each one only gets enough to last 2

months.

I don't think it's about a hormone some men don't need to shave there whole face

look at the President he does not look like he has a full face of hair.

I can say this when my Testosterone was low I only needed to shave 2x's a week

now on TRT I need to shave everyday. Yet going on TRT men get a lot of body

hair from the Testosterone and DHT.

DHT is converted from Testosterone you need a Dr. do some tests and get a script

for Testosterone if you need it. Here is a link to labs I tell men to get. Add

to this Total T3 and T4 for thyroid. Do not take Testosterone meds until your

find out why your low if your low.

Your Testosterone levels are low but your Estradiol is high getting this down

your Testosterone levels can come back up some 200 to 300 points. If your not on

TRT yet do this first then test again.

http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html

Read the above links learn about this it is not fun to be on TRT for life and

have to adjust meds for about a yr. to get adjusted when you don't need them.

I hear you about the hair but I don't feel your going to get more hair on your

face adding Testosterone. It will grow on your body I hate it and cut it down

every month just did it this morning. Who wants hair on there back and chest

over 3 " lg. and it keeps growing.

My urologist has not treated my T problems in the past.  I go an endocrinologist

for that.  I was a bit shocked when he mentioned the pellets but I am tired of

getting up at 4:30 to do the gel everyday.  I think the surgery thing probably

has something to do with him asking.  I am going to give it a try but my guess

is we will not agree on the level.  I like to keep it in the 600s or a bit

higher and he was just too happy with the 435 that I tested at.  The test was

done late afternoon and my endo always said do it at 8 to 9 in the morning.

I was just curious as to why you have to get up early to apply gel?

I get up 4:30 for work so that is when I would put it on.  On the weekends I did

it a much later time and was feeling off / down then.  I called the manufacturer

and talked with a pharmacist.  She told me to do it at the same time every day.

So 4:30 every day, weekends, vacation or whatever.  If I go back to bed, I have

to wait for it to dry and I put a t-shirt on so I don't turn my wife into my

brother.

Just by your Endo saying he would be happy with a level that low tells me he is

in up on low Testosterone. I have in all the 27 yrs that I have been treated

for low T yet to find a good Endo they just are not any good.

We have many posts by men here saying the same thing. If you do go with the

pellets you need about 1500 mgs of Pellets. A lot of Dr.'s across the country

don't put enough in and they know this because the labs that make the have info

on there use. Then charge a lot of money do a small amount of pellets only to

have you back in less the 2 months crashing.

Hear is a link to a post by one of the members that has been on them for yrs.

/message/49390

I would love to do pellets but can't find an honest Dr. that will not rip me off

doing them. I have to family members getting them in my start on male and one

female. Then Dr. that dose the male rips him off he knows it but is a retired

City worker and his health care plain pays for it.

This Dr. only gives him enough pellets to last 2 months and gives him Androgel

to help keep his levels up. This is Bull Crap he told me to call this Dr. I did

and it's $700 for the first office visit then he dose labs will not take your

old ones. I checked with my BCBS his labs are not covered so $1500 in cost for

his labs. Then I come back $150 for seeing him again to go over the the labs.

Then to make an appointment to put in the Pellets at a cost of $1200 more.

If you call the Labs that make pellets they are very low in cost there are just

to many Dr.'s out there ripping people off on Pellets.

To find a Dr. that will give me 20 75mg pellets at a good price in my state is a

no go.

I do fine giving my self shots and HCG and my drug care plain pays for it.

Pellets are not covered.

They come in 75 or 200 mgs if they are the 200mgs pellets then he is giving you

enough. But I am betting it's the 75 mgs and one needs 20 of them if your

weight is over 200 lbs.

If your health care plain pays for this try it if you have to pay for this do

some research about this. Send Ernestnolan an Email.
