Guest guest
Hi, I am new to this group and am hoping to get some answers on testosterone. I did a testosterone blood test recently and it came back 3421 pg/mL (range 3,000-10,000). This confirms another test I did last year which showed low levels. My doctor thinks this level is too low and wants to supplement via injection every 10 weeks. It is called Nebido and it is a long-acting depot preparation of testosterone undecanoate. Before we start he has asked me to do some tests - FSH, LH, Serum testosterone - for confirmation. Is there any other tests/ screens I need to do before embarking on testosterone therapy? I am 32 years of age. I suggested a cream but he prefers this the intramuscular injection method. Has anyone got any opinion on this or any experience of using it? I am also autoimmune hypothyroid on 1.5 grains of Armour thyroid and 15mg of hydrocortisone. However, I don't seem to have recovered my health. There is definitely something else not right, maybe low testosterone is causing my continued poor sleep, anxiety and fatigue. Thanks!
