hCG as pretty long half-life (few days) so x3 weekly should provide

enough LH for full week and I would think therefore that the

testicles would be able to produce approximately the same amount of

testosterone as before going on TRT assuming one was primary

hypogonadal (testicles not working right for whatever reason) but if

secondary (pituitary problem) this could be higher than before going

on TRT.

An hCG test during diagnostic procedures would have confirmed whether

problem was primary or secondary unless of course another test e.g.

karotype for genetic problem or MRI showing pituitary tumour

confirmed this already. If secondary hCG could possibly be used

without TRT but no long-term studies done on this and unlikely endo's

would be willing to do this since getting hCG in first place as part

of TRT is hard enough for most.

However this will depend on how long someone has been on TRT as

Leydig cells will slowly die if not used or at least not function as

well.

I'm sure there are some other variables as there always are person to

person but thats my take on it - if anyone else has different view I

would be interested to hear.
