Hi Jody,

I was on both androgel and testim for about 8 months. I stopped at 15g per day

and some times 25 and never got anywhere near good ranges.     During that time

I had frequent pain in my lower back and legs.  It seemed to move around every

couple of days.

One week after switching to shots it had reduced substantially.  3 weeks and I

never had pain at all.

10grams is a healthy dose.  If your not real close to the upper 1/3 of the

range.  I recommend trying the shots.  There is less to taking shots than taking

vitamins.

For me the daily level of the Testosterone is un surpassed.  On gels I knew I

always had a 4 hour window of greatness each day.   With the shots it is smooth

sailing.

It's wonderful and there is no constant oppression from the residue neither do

you have to avoid water.    I always felt 'Unclean' with the gels.  It even

would interfere with morning hugs from my wife while getting dressed for work.

*****from me to you.  Escalate and expedite your reaching the upper 1/3 of the

range.  Every day you are not RIGHT WHERE WE NEED AND WANT TO BE, we allow

consideration for compromise, inadequacy, brokenness and illness to do more

damage.

My very very very ish friend told me I was loop de loop for agreeing to

accept a standard that was obviously inferior.

When my doctors first told me I had hypogonadism- I accepted it hook line and

sinker.

What I mean by that is I agreed to be sick.   Now I oppose being sick with all

my strength.

My doctor is my asset in getting rid of the dominance of hypogonadism.   We

agree to delight in keeping my body at optimum levels..  I take great joy in

exercising POWER over hypogonadism.

I am no longer in subjection to it!!!   It does not tell me what to do.  I tell

it what it can not do!!******

Subject: Re: Hip and knee pain?

Sorry to hear about that, Jody.

I think Phil mentioned joint pain on Androgel or Testim which subsided

upon switching to shots. T gel preparations tend to result in higher

DHT & a lower T:DHT ratio than that found in eugonadal men. DHT

doesn't have the same bone building & protecting effects that properly

calibrated T & E2 do. Check out the file titled " TRTMethods. jpg " in

the group's Files section. Testosterone itself is known for

supporting bones- so much so that immobilized patients on it can

develop hypercalcemia.

Will your insurance cover a DXA scan for bone density?

Hope you can find the answers you seek.
