Guest guest
If you have low T and very low E2 (<10) along with borderline low LH is it likely that your E2 won't sky rocket on 100mg wkly T injections? I ask because I plan on trying TRT injections. My e2 is <10 and Total T is 350 (250-1100). I want to try TRT for a few months to see if getting T into my system will help my feedback loop as i was androgen free for about 3 yrs due to an exogenous substance that mimics Estrogen and inhibts androgen receptors. I'm 5'10 " and weigh about 180lbs...great overall shape with exception of belly fat...which is due to low T. Any thoughts?
Guest guest
Bottom line is you just have to try and see - we all respond differently. Speaking in generalities, the male body responds to high levels of T by converting it to either DHT or E2. The more fat you have the more aromatase you have which is the enzyme that converts T to E2. If you shoot 100mg you will get a spike in T around 1200-1400. This will trigger your body to shut down your testicles and convert the excess T. Your body probably likes a value of around 350-500 so it will try to get it back in that range. So with all that said - chances are your E2 will go up ~ 2-3 days after your shot. However if your E2 is <10 with a level of 350 you may not spike that high. Arkansas From: rockin813 <rockin813@...> Subject: TRT always increases E2? Guest guest
rockin813 I was thinking exactly same thing - I have almost identical numbers to you - Test 300ng/dL, with estradiol 5 ng/dL and LH & FSH both 4.7 U/l what age are you? I'm nearly 30 and exercise most days so have very little body fat and eat good diet I would not like to start TRT unless endo was willing to prescribe arimidex or similar if e2 went to high. I have heard of people developing gyno with high e2 on TRT (and coming off) and this also increases chances of breast cancer if e2 too high so v.important consideration - moreso if you are older I think you could start maybe with gels which should get you about 500 ng/dL or bit above this and you could see how estradiol is then - maybe this will give you an indication of what your body would do with slightly higher Test on injections (although noteably gels give higher DHT while injections higher estradiol in terms of ratio to testosterone) Chris > > > > From: rockin813 <rockin813@...> > Subject: TRT always increases E2? > > Date: Wednesday, December 3, 2008, 4:51 PM > > > > > > > If you have low T and very low E2 (<10) along with borderline low LH is > it likely that your E2 won't sky rocket on 100mg wkly T injections? > > I ask because I plan on trying TRT injections. Guest guest
Hi, This note is in response to one of the replies. I was told by my endocrnologist that when the body sees a high difference or a ramping up compared to the current level of T, the body has a hormone regulation system that tries to correct things that seem to be going wrong. The sudden appearance of high T is then converted to E2 until some time goes by and the conversion will slow or stop as the level seems to be dropping back. Typically the first shot or a patch of T will trigger this response. If you wait a couple of weeks before introducing more T the reaction will be shocked again. I have heard here, many have had success by injecting 3 or more times a week. It is best to inject frequently with small amounts or to use patches very frequently to try and avoid this response from the body. Testosterone hormone pellets which dissolve directly into the blood stream at a constant rate 24/7 usually do not cause this response. It is tough to find a competent doctor that provide pellet therapy. ernestnolan > > If you have low T and very low E2 (<10) along with borderline low LH is > it likely that your E2 won't sky rocket on 100mg wkly T injections? > > I ask because I plan on trying TRT injections.
