Guest guest
Do you have serious GB problems? WHen I had my GB I ate a completely fat free diet. Even on this diet I still had GB attacks, I dont know if it was just to far gone or what, but I had GB attacks even with out eating the fat. So for this I dont believe that fat is the only thing that causes this. could you be pregnant? (Sorry, i dont know your age or if you are male/female) Have you ever gone to a homeopath or acupunturist? If you go to an accupunturist make sure they are good with chinese medicine and also GB problems. I went to one and that was the only thing that helped, until the money ran out!! >From: farscape66@... >Reply-gallstones >gallstones >Subject: Nitetime Nausea - Why? >Date: Mon, 16 Jun 2003 03:50:39 EDT > >History of one large gallstone 2.8 cm according to Jan Ultrasound. I am not sure this is the answer, but do know that when you are lying in certain positions, your gallbladder is more able to release stones, and may be doing that during the night. Also know that there are certain hours during the night when the liver/body is more inclined to cleanse/ There's another thought, if you tend toward low blood sugar, you may be going low during the night....when my blood sugar was out of control, I used to have trouble with nausea at about 3 or so a.m., and had a hard time wanting to eat breakfast. Those are just a couple of thoughts. L. Guest guest
I am type 2 diabetic on glucophage, I had to stop taking the chanca piedra 2 weeks ago because of low blood sugar during the night. Guest guest
I have had severe probs with low blood sugar since having my Gb removed. Guest guest
The last one I had with my gallbladder still in I was given morphine and that only made the pain and the nausea worse. I threw up bile for hours and the nurses wouldn't even bat and eye at it. They just told me it was bile and walked away. I suffered for days after that. Oh, my! You poor girl. Morphine is totally incorrect to give for gallstone/GB problems. They're supposed to use Demerol. Morphine does something that isn't right for this kind of problem. I'll have to look in my medical dictionary to tell you. I've read up on it before, but that's why they give Demerol on this, or they're supposed to. Of course, if you're allergic, they'll have to find something other than Demerol. Susie
Guest guest
when a docter gives up hope on a cure ,the patient gets morphine. Some doctors might do this, but not every doctor that I've gone to has done this and certainly for gallstone problems. If the doctor knows what he's doing, he won't give morphine at all. From my Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary, which is also what the nursing profession uses besides Stedman's. It states on pg. 768 under gallstone, then under symptoms, quote: Morphine is thought to increase spasm of the sphincter of Oddi and thus is not used for pain relief, unquote. So what I'm saying is, what doctors don't know this? It should be standard medicine. Not all doctors are bad, so you can't categorize all of them into one big lump. To do so is narrow-minded. This is why when I've gone to the ER, I've ALWAYS received the standard medical practice, which is Demerol. I.e., morphine is a no-no. If your doctor doesn't realize this fact, maybe you should seek another who knows something. You don't want the morphine to cause a spasm of the sphincter of Oddi when you're already spasming from the GB attack anway. That's just common sense. But to even say all medicine is stupid is in inself stupid. If your leg gets cut off by accident or by some freak accident you get run over, you'd better hope that you can go to a reliable medical center to have yourself fixed. Guest guest
didnt know that morphine was wrong for GB probs! They tried to give that to me every time I was in the ER, Of course I always refused everything becuae I was pregnant. You would think these people would know better!! Thats Drs for you!! Please read my previous post. Yes, morphine is really a no-no for gallstone problems because it causes spasm. Demerol works better, but many people can be allergic to anything. I'm sure that they have something else. If someone is pregnant, I'm not sure what they give. Probably depends on how far along you are. Guest guest
I believe the nausea is caused by the liver trying to push the stones and or sludge out, and is the bile that is being dumped into the stomach. All my attacks seemed to be at least 7- 8 hours after I ate my last meal, usually starting at around 3:00a.m. I would be very nauseous and break out into a sweat. It never had to be a fatty meal to bring them on. I still have some of these attacks with out my gall bladder (just not so severe) so it is also caused by stones in the liver out bile duct. This was before I knew much about herbals so I would go to the dr and get a shot of Demerol and gravol and then be on my way home. The pain always passed so I believe the Demerol must have helped in some way. The last one I had with my gallbladder still in I was given morphine and that only made the pain and the nausea worse. I threw up bile for hours and the nurses wouldn't even bat and eye at it. They just told me it was bile and walked away. I suffered for days after that. I had tried some cleansing before this last attack, but I didn't have the knowledge about how and why the herbs and cleanses work. If I knew then what I know now the gall bladder would never have come out. Glenda " L. Meydrech " wrote: > > Then why do I wake up at 3-4 AM feeling nauseaous. Guest guest
I have found that when I DON'T have fat I am more liable for attacks, because our bodies need fat to digest. Guest guest
I have found that a diet consisting of PLENTY of COLD PRESSED oil and only fruit and vegetables...yummmmy. solves all my nausea and digestive problems. Takes a bit of time to work. Just be patient. There's a lot of junk in there to clean out. Also have plenty of COLD PRESSED juices (NO SUGAR PLEASE) and plenty of herbal teas. Guest guest
Yep. This used to happen to me. It's gallstones blocking the bile duct from the pancreas to the small intestine. The pancreas is needed to digest protein, carbohydrate etc. Juice and Flush them away with a strict vegan and cold pressed oil diet. ----- Original Message ----- From: K & G Murray gallstones Sent: Tuesday, June 17, 2003 8:29 AM Subject: Re: Nitetime Nausea - Why?
