Guest guest
I was told that I have a 1.3 cm stone (and probably other smaller ones) and should have surgery soon. I don't want to do that if I can possibly avoid it. I am doing my first flush tonight and am SCARED TO DEATH. Is there anything really bad that I should watch for signs of. I am so afraind I will end up in pain and in the hospital tonight..... I have never had a big attack, but do have almost constant discomfort. You should also know that I was told I should not travel out the country until I have the surgery -makes me feel like a ticking time bomb- but I have to make a trip to Peru for work in just 6 weeks. Comments about the safety of taking that trip welcome too. Thank you.

Please don't worry thats the worst thing you can do. It's not painful at all. THere may be some discomfort but more usual then not there isn't any. Alot of us didn't know what to expect the first time. But we went and did it anyway. All of us were glad after we did. If you move those stones and keep your gallbladder you beat the fear tactics of the AMA. Ninety some percent of folks who have the operation have had it because they did not know there was another way. Most do not need it taken out at all. Having your gall bladder out is dangerous, and does not garantee loss of symptoms. If you were not supposed to have a gall bladder you wouldn't have one. It's better to leave it in and get those nasty stones out naturely with the flush. Then to be feared mongered into a costly and probably unnecessary operation. Were here rooting for you. You made the choice! Good for you! Now your cooking. Walt Walt I was told that I have a 1.3 cm stone (and probably other smaller ones) and should have surgery soon. Guest guest
I had a terrible attack that lasted for hours. I live very far from town and so kept hesitating to rush into town - hoping that the pain would go away on its' own. Well it did - after 3 1/2 hours. While this was happening to me, my husband found information on the web about liver cleansing. It mentioned some of the symptoms that I'd been experiencing the last few months, but thought that they were unrelated. I've also had many abdominal surgeries prior (unrelated) and wanted to avoid surgery at all costs. The very next day, after reading about as many cleanses as I could get my hands on, I did the cleanse. I'd say that it's very minor , the negative parts compared to surgery. You're not stuck in a hospital bed on heavy pain killers. You don't have to hold your stomach with a pillow every time that you sneeze. Recuperation of strength is a few hours as apposed to weeks or more. Surgery is sometimes the only option. This is rarely the case, but ask your doctor his criterea for removal. You must ask your doctor - Why do I need my gallbladder out? Are the walls thickened so much that it diseased and how much? Do I have gallbladder cancer? Don't be scared. Take some affirmative action and learn as much as you can. I was in pain and afraid of the flush, but read all night. It sounded worth a try to me, so, luckily I did it. And guess what - I never felt better! I got rid of the burping acid, got a lot of relief from gas, and after a few flushes was able to eat foods that had normally triggered an attack in moderation. Arm yourself with knowledge and take affirmative action. Be in control! You will feel better of your decision to flush or to have surgery. As far as travelling goes - that's six weeks down the road. You should find some relief by then. Find out which foods trigger your pain and avoid them for a few months until youhave done a few flushes. And GOOD LUCK! ~Suzanne > " b198 " <b198@y...> wrote: > I was told that I have a 1.3 cm stone (and probably other smaller > ones) and should have surgery soon. Guest guest
I passed a stone bigger than the size you are describing and others that size pass easily, that's a little over 1/2 " I think. Looking forward to hearing how you do. Right, , I passed several one time there were about 1 inch. I was sore for a few days like I had done 50 sit-ups, but otherwise, I felt very good. Guest guest
My stone is 2.3 cm. I have done 4 flushes since June of last year. I am planning #5 for this week. I was told of course that the only treatment was removal of my gallbladder. As far as I can tell, through diet, supplements and flushes, I am doing much better, though I still have symptoms off and on (strangely enough they never involve pain). But those symptoms tend to show up if I " fall off the wagon " on diet. If I travel I make sure I have my liver/gallbladder supplements and my Dr. Schulze digestive tonic. As long as I have those I'm fine. Guest guest
Well by the time you read this you will have flushed and I trust found that it was worth it. Please let us know how it went. You may have nausea, but ride it out, it will pass. I passed a stone bigger than the size you are describing and others that size pass easily, that's a little over 1/2 " I think. Looking forward to hearing how you do. L. Guest guest
>The worst thing is you may feel some nausea, but suck on a peppermint and it will pass. , I do the same thing! I love Altoids, they are great for nausea. Had them right there with me last night and used then a few times. I also sip of water from a drink bottle when I'm NOT feeling nauseaous...I get so parched from the Epsom Salts. claudia :-)
