Guest guest
Mike it's not the Clomid that raise estradiol it's the Testosterone the Clomid that makes your testis make more testosterone. Most Dr.'s don't know you can't test Estradiol on Clomid it always shows low. You need to be off it a good 2 weeks to test it. I would get your E2 tested and see how it looks off clomid some men have a rebound effect with E2 coming off Clomid. Mike <wolfyma@...> wrote: Hi guys, Thanks for all the responses. I'll bring up the E2 issue with my urologist and ask for some numbers. FYI, I've been off of Clomid now since end of October and on Testim gel since end of November. The uncomfortable symptoms are the same in both cases. Also, from what I understand Clomid does not raise E2. I seem to recall a study of its effects in men citing that it keeps E2 on the low side. Guest guest
Mike; Have you had a thyroid work up T3, T4 and TSH......? T4 that is on the lower side of normal range will cause major depression. I went thru it for years and my T4 was in the low normal range. TSH was 42[high enough to explode my head] and it should have been less than 2. Doctor did not know where to give me synthroid or not since my T4 was in range. I finally got the Synthroid and the depression went away. It stays away until I forget to take my synthroid a couple days. kissie A question RE: clomid dose [was: Re: On treatment and still feeling crappy?] Hi guys, Thanks for all the responses. Guest guest
Mike, Watch out, the info about Clomid not raising E2 is not correct, Clomid " masks " E2 from your pituitary and some other tissues (like breast tissue), that's why it makes your pituitary produces LH even if you have high E2 levels, and that's why it is taken for gynecomastia as it blocks E2 from affecting breast tissue. But it doesn't decrease E2 blood level per se. > > > > > > > > > > Hi guys, > > > > > > > > > > It's been a while since I've posted.
