Guest guest
Ernest, it just struck me that you're flying to GA, and using GA Medicare to pay for your treatements. I don't know much about Medicare, but if the payment rates vary from state to state, that implies that the state funds part of the program. If that's the case, I'm surprised that the good citizens of GA are willing to fund a " foreigner's " TRT. Good for you! _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of ernestnolan Sent: Wednesday, October 18, 2006 5:15 PM Subject: Re: Pellet doctors Hi, There are bad pellet doctors for sure and charge terribly high prices. I have heard CA has some good pellet doctors but don't know their names. The cost for me every 4 months to get 20 pellets is about $450 for the regular patient. Now much to my surprise medicare is different all over the US and in GA Medicare picks up most of that cost. Years ago (in the 50's and 60's) when air fares were much higher, many of Dr. Gambrells patients flew in from all over the country. Now with the air fares being more reasonable and the cost only $450, you could be treated by Dr. Gambrell and spend the air fare and still come out ahead. ernestnolan > > Is there a list of docs that will implant testosterone pellets? > Is Earnest the only one here using pellets? Guest guest
Thanks Ernest- I'm only 44, so medicare is a long way off for me...probably won't even be around by my retirement age. :-( _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of ernestnolan Sent: Wednesday, November 01, 2006 9:00 PM Subject: Re: Pellet doctors Hi, We recently moved from NY to NC to be closer to our son and grandson in Raleigh. We drive down to GA early for an afternoon appointment and return late. GA region of medicare is unique in that it provides hormone therapy for men. I know of no medicare region in the US like that. If I were to go to any state like the Mayo Clinic, for brain surgery or kidney transplant, that region would pay most of my medical expenses inspite of the fact that I am out of state. Dr. Gambrell and his history of hormone studies and pellet therapy probably are responsible for that region providing that coverage. He mentioned discussing it many times over the years with those responsible for determining what care is given. ernestnolan > > > > Is there a list of docs that will implant testosterone pellets? > > Is Earnest the only one here using pellets?
