Guest guest
The blood group diet for me is so removed from what I like to eat. For a start Tofu is NOT a healthy food to consume. Very small amounts are probably ok for most people. Its not accurate that the Asians consume large amounts of tofu. (Please don't ask for double blind trials or research information) I have read several long articles on soya (and tofu etc) published by a very respected magazine, that tends to find out all the information that food organisations would rather we didn't get too read, (they like us to believe the propaganda) According to the A group dietary recommendations, I should be fine on wheat, well I am not, it causes fluid retention and weight gain, and constipation. I like and feel that I need a certain amount of red meat, not alot, but some! If I followed group A, I would be a vegetarian. One very interesting thing that the author of the blood group regime has not touched on, is if we eat a food in its entirely natural raw state, does it still cause a problem with our blood? For instance raw milk (not messed up with pasteurisation, raw fish marinated etc) I couldn't face eating raw meat! I do eat raw eggs mixed into a smoothie, and have not noticed indigestion when I consume this. There is a mode of eating called the paleolithic diet, which I think is all raw, but still allowing animal protein in its raw state. If anyone is interested have a look at www.rawpaleodiet.com Anyone else here following the diet for the A group and getting on well with it? Thanks ANNE
